I got a Engelbert album from my Nan that died in 2002. It almost brought me to tears hearing this on Moon Knight. 'How to win your love' is another one that hits hard for me too.
It's been 52 years since this song was released. It was originally Italian, translated to English, and performed by Mr. Humperdinck, in 1968. Timeless, it is still sung in videoke and played in radio stations in the Philippines.
Thank you @Marvel Moon Knight for reminding me of this song. I used to hear my grandparents play it as a kid and it brought such an amazing feeling of nostalgia.
I grew up listening to him because my mom loved him, NOT as much as she loved Tom Jones, but a close 2nd LOL So hearing this in Moon Knight brought back a lot of memories of my mom who passed in 2006.
Every Sunday in the Philippines all local radio stations play classic songs from the 60's to 90's including some of Engelbert Humperdink's songs .. I remember my uncle singing this song as a kid .. Brings back good old memories of my childhood ...
I used to listen to this in my dads car when I was a child in the 80s still do now Elvis, Paul anka, Dean Martin the others I'd always remember too haha
@Robert Vaughn do it... i'm just telling the truth. I don't even want to listen to the songs nowadays because they are nothing compared to the old songs. OLD BUT GOLD.

I went to see Engelbert when I was 21 a lot of years ago. He presented me with a bouquet of flowers on the stage at Batley Variety club .Love him still xx,Sandie
Remember being a kid hearing this song and trying to fall asleep my parents had company over Engelbert and Tom Jones always on .Brings back memories of better and simpler times.
I started to know of Engelbert Humperdinck songs during 1979 when I was a young sailor. His songs accompany every night I retire to bed and be brought with me alone in a cassette of his collection each time I was on duty at the navigation bridge. Today his songs were still my favourite !
I Dedicated this song to my mum exactly 1month this day (JAN12 2019- FEB12 2019) when she pass away... 😢 She always listen Engelbert songs and watching concerts on TV when shes still alive.. I miss you Mah I love you always! 💞💖
Voices like this do not exist anymore, no effects, just raw talent, and the same goes for that incredible guitar player, no neck shredding that's so fast, it sounds like noise, just stylish command of the neck.

This is proper music. Every juke box in Bangalore had Engleberthumperdick records. He was mother's favourite singer. Music these days are total rubbish. RVH
To hell with what others think. Facts are facts, and the simple historical observation is, that the art of songwriting has suffered greatly in the past thirty years. You’re not wrong in understanding that the songs were better then.
Oh yeah, crazy talent. I remember being a kid when Engelbert and Tom Jones were dominating their genre. My parents had all the old crooners albums in the house. Sinatra, Andy Williams, Matt Munro, Tony Bennett, Jack Jones etc. All those guys were great. But these two guys were just better with the exception of Sinatra. Sinatra didn't have the voice these fellows had but he knew how to sing. He really did sound like he was singing to you, the listener. No idea how he did that, strange talent. Over the years I've gone back and forth as to which of these two guys was better. I have come to the conclusion that they are both great, but just different. Engelbert was actually hospitalized for malnutrition at one point in his career because he couldn't earn enough to sustain him and his family...hard to imagine. Gordon Mills, manager for both Jones and Humperdinck was a genius. He thrust-ed both of these great talents into the public eye and the rest is history. Lucky for us.
True story: I was sitting on my front steps the other night, and one of the 20-somethings in the Karen family next door (Burmese/Myanmar refugees) drove up in his very expensive car, blasting this song out of his windows. America is a mixing pot, my friends, and that's a very good thing.

The ONE AND ONLY ENGLEBERT, the very best ever! What a voice, what a song, what lyrics, what passion, what emotions, this man will never be forgotten even 1000 years from now!
I came across this video while looking for Dan Hill ‘s video (Sometime when we touch ). It brought back memories of having a chance meeting of Mt Humperdinck at a concert in Bermuda, 1977. However the best part was that he kissed my hand ( the only time that I had my hand kissed). I am from the USA. It was very hard to wash my hand that night. Memories are good.
Just hear the girls screaming as he starts singing....in contrast they are so relieved when I finish! Surely Englebert is the worlds best singing voice of all time?
Grew up with my dad playing this song everyday as well as all of Englebert's songs on the radio at 4 in the morning it's really cool that he's getting recognized by gen z and many others because of moon knight he deserves it 🤝
Engelbert oh how wonderful he sings I could listen to him all night and I have done so many times I take music to bed with me and just listen for 2 hours each evening just to have it but I love it I love music what can I say God bless him he's wonderful
well done, you were the first comment in the beginning of all the Moon Knight madness haha damn great series though, could have needed a bit more Moon Knight action in Episode 2 and 3, but otherwise, amazingly done
I grew up with his music played almost daily in my house. My mother was a diehard fan and saw him in concert nearly every year. I went to a fee shows with her, too, as a kid (80s and 90s). He's amazing in concert and he has timeless, yet sincere voice.
He certainly was blessed with a wonderful voice just perfect for this song that requires an outpouring of emotion, this will go down in my list of all time favourites.

I can remember when we walked together
Sharing a love I thought would last forever
Moonlight to show the way so we can follow
Waiting inside her eyes was my tomorrow
Then something changed her mind, her kisses told me
I had no loving arms to hold me
Every day I wake up then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I wake up then I start to break up
Knowing that it's cloudy above
Every day I start out then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
I cannot face this world that's fallen down on me
So if you see my girl please send her home to me
Tell her about my heart that's slowly dying
Say I can't stop myself from crying
Every day I wake up then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I wake up then I start to break up
Knowing that it's cloudy above
Every day I start out then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I wake up then I start to break up
Lonely is a man without love
Every day I start out then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
