I'm 44 years of age. I lived in Syracuse from January 1991 to June 1999 from Binghamton. So much memories good and bad times but I will always and forever love Syracuse. Im originally born from Brooklyn NY but now I'm living here in Miami, Florida. Syracuse and Miami are 2 different lifestyle cities. Syracuse is small simple and quiet, but Miami is huge loud and vibrant city that doesn't sleep. But I missed the beautiful and simplicity of Syracuse. The last I visited there was in 2004 to visit old friends from high school, so about 20 years ago and alot has changed, old friends from high school (William Nottingham HS Class of '99) have moved on long ago but my love for the 'Cuse will never change.

Where is all the people? City after city looks deserted ! There was a time when there was a big hustle and bustle throughout cities all across the country! Downtown streets stayed busy. Now you can drive 5 city blocks and see maybe 5 people!

It is usually below 0 temperature outside during winter months here, even with no snow, it's like Chicago, we all sit in coffee shops, homes or offices, lol

My guess is the video was recorded on a Sunday, because even the bus hub is dead, that ONLY happens on Sundays.

American car-centrism, American streets often look creepy and empty because bad urban planning incentivizes over-use of cars for every destination.

This is really cool- love that you were here while the tree and decorations in Clinton Square were still up. It's like a nice little Syracuse time capsule. Thanks for sharing!

If you were to go straight here, and taken the left road at the fork, you would've run right into the upside down traffic light 16:13

Great video. Takes me back to when I took the city bus to OCC, then university hill. The bus station is no longer at the corner of fayette/salina streets but it still looks similar. Most of the businesses downtown look well maintained.

The opening of this Video has a lil history .. that Dunkin Donuts on the right went viral for a Employee pouring a drink on a homeless man...
Just before the bend on left there was A Movie scene filled there with Coloris Leachman For a Movie Called Adult World Starring John Cusack from Say Anything and Summer Rental

Damn. When were you in Syracuse. That must have been during COVID. I live here in the Cuse. I have never seen all the streets you drove on that empty. Somehow you made Syracuse look like a Ghost Town. LMAO ☹️ 🤣 Keep Up the Great Work. Stay Safe out There. 🇺🇸 Have a great Holiday. ! 🎄🎁

It’s in the Tipperary Hill neighborhood, on the intersection of Tompkins Street and Burnet Park Drive/Milton Avenue.

Yet another upstate town.. unchanged from the 1950’s. I half expect to see a clock tower with Marty McFly.
