1) no discounts in the area, 20-30% over asking price this last summer.
2) historically not much appreciation in the area. Besides covid bump ongoing, could go back to historic norms.

Ca mill us. Taxes high in Syracuse. Walmarts are dangerous.
Thanks for the comment and perspective. Do you live in Syracuse and what about Walmarts are dangerous? Are they in higher crime areas and thus affecting the property values near them?
@@DaveHathawayYT moved out out of there a year ago. 3ft snow 3 times a year. Salt on road, frame on 2009 truck had be welded. Walmarts? One on Bridge St is third world and one in N Sooryexcuse is sinking there.

I'm an investor interested in syracuse but am a little nervous on where to purchase. I am looking for 2 - 4 family homes but not sure where to go. Do you have any suggestions?
@@bronxp93 I have actually never been to Syracuse, NY before so its hard for me to give you a suggestion here. I would suggest searching google maps and looking for coffee shops like starbucks and nicer grocery stores and or costcos and then I would try to piggy back off of where they are located as they pay a lot of money to research what areas are growing and likely to appreciate. @@bronxp93 Yes, smarten up and do go to that sh*thole. There are thousands of better cities to put your money into. I would even go far as to say don't invest in New York or even the East Coast period. 💩💩💩💩

If you do your research you can find good homes. Some areas is worth to invest other areas are not! If you are planning to buy here either you move here or find someone you can trust to manage your properties ( which you have to be careful who you choose)
