I absolutely love that movie! Unapologetically so lol...but I'm the guy who will watch blast from the past, then put in the howling, and follow it up with showgirls and Rocky and enjoy them all lol...

hey thanks man! Yeah Mr. Destiny is a damn good one and the cast is pretty loaded! I didnt mention them but John Lovitz and a young Courtney Cox are in it too! One that I have to find in the best version possible! Glad you are enjoying the channel, I am absolutely having a blast with it!
@@AVAPopCulture yeah I really appreciate your insight. I ditched streaming in Nov/Dec and got back into physical media again. It’s been a blast and absolutely love what the boutique labels are doing. Caught your “fomo is a good thing” video as well and have adopted the same philosophy for films I love. I had to resort to eBay for a few that I missed out on (Drive from Second Sight, Blade Runner from Film Vault & Road House VSU) and it was quite expensive 😆

I learned my Ebay lesson! ...when I came back to "full time collecting" as my wife calls it, I decided I was going to curate my collection with only the best versions and elaborate releases of my favorite films -so I wont have a lot of "standard" releases of those films and I dont just buy everything - BUT that means things are more expensive! - I had to take to EBAY for Roadhouse and Showgirls and some Arrow sets and that is big $$$$ and God help me, I have to track down the Beastmaster VSU lol...so now I order immediately when it is one I want and I hold off and do research on any other possible releases of a film if only a standard is available ...it is a lot of fun though!

@@TheTylerpoe they do make it fun dont they!? I love the care and attention or the "pomp and circumstance" these lesser known movies are getting too! If I could get @vinegarsyndromefilms or @synapsefilms to re-release my movies on physical media with great art, I'd license those films to them for nothing except a portion of the profits because I love the new life they are giving all of these movies!
Frailty is fantastic horror movie that everyone should watch, but don't be afraid if it shocks you. There is a blu-ray of it I have.

I suspected that you were going to mention Toy Soldiers in this video. The Count of Monte Cristo and The Fan were both excellent, but hardly obscure movies. One of my favorite obscure movies of all-time is from 1997 and titled Living in Peril with Rob Lowe, Jim Belushi and Dean Stockwell. It has less than a thousand ratings on IMDB, which is mind-boggling, considering how good it is. If you haven't seen that movie, based on the titles you've already listed, I'm positive you won't be disappointed.
I haven't seen it! I'll check it out!! And I'm kinda going less for just obscure movies and more for those that have kinda been overlooked or forgotten... I often find that I can mention True Romance, Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop 2 etc and people remember those quickly but if I say the Fan, I might have to follow it up with an explanation like "You know, the one with Snipes and DeNiro where DeNiro plays the psycho stalker baseball fan"...lol
Nice list! Frailty is on my list to purchase soon. Also going to get some Tony Scott soon but don’t love The Fan, will probably start with Enemy of the State and True Romance

Blast from past top 10 all time it’s on Tubi and is the movie I think of when I hear his name

As far as I know, Frailty is only available on DVD, and I've seen used copies at places like Half-Priced Books.
Lawless was about the Bondurant brothers.
Mind if I mention a couple of movies that I never hear anyone talking about? They are in physical media.
The Chumscrubbers: The opening of the movie is a suicide and the rest of the movie is about the relationships of the people around the deceased and how they all react. Not the downer it sounds like, but a thought-provoking movie that you will be talking about for days afterwards.
Inside Moves: John Savage, David Morse and Diana Scarwid in her Oscar-winning role about trust and frienship.
High Fidelity: a different kind of coming of age film with an excellent cast (John Cusack, Lisa Bonet, an early Jack Black and Tim Robbins) and great music and will leave you walking out of the theater.
The Drop. The last movie James Gandolfini made. Also stars Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace. The movie begins with a robbery and ends with a murder. In between we watch a shy bartender find a dumped puppy and begin falling in love with a young woman whose trashcan the puppy ends up in.
Frailty deserves a big box set release!

they are both so damn good! I think Frailty deserves an Arrow Boxset or a VSU or Cinematographe style release!!
Cowboy Way is available in a 2015 Universal 8-movie Action Comedy Set. It's a fun watch! Mr Destiny almost sounds like the same premise of the un-talked about "Best of Times" with Robin Williams. If you need more bootlegging check out the Boardwalk Empire series. The first season is a little slow but seasons 2 and 3 ramp up.

Do you object to Amazon? They have blu-rays of almost every movie you mentioned, except "Harry and the Hendersons" and "Mr. Destiny" (which they only offer in a DVD three-pack with "Hello Again" and "Taking Care of Business). You might want to choose the DVD of "Exists" instead of the blu-ray ($14 versus $83). And "Coherence" is a bit pricey in both DVD and blu-ray.

I don't know if it will be in your 3rd list, but how about The 'Burbs?? I watched that movie multiple times per week as a kid and it's one of my all time favorites that I rarely see people talk about! Such a great movie and I've been hoping for a 4K release for years now.
The Burbs is a great movie! I think a lot of people are pushing to get it on 4k right now and Scream Factory put out a blu ray if it a while back! Great movie

Donnie Brasco is a classic. Frailty is great and I don’t own it either. Haha Mr Destiny is the best I have the Kino version and no one talks about it very underrated! The Fan & mischief are also great don’t think they got Blu-rays in the US. Lawless is one of my favorite movies about that era and I’m a sucker for a true story. Haha I hated Blast from the past when I was a kid it’s one that had grown on me over the years. Harry and the Hendersons is a classic I grew up on it and so did my kids. Great video brother 👍

I’ve been passing up the frailty dvd at my local used book store for about a year now hoping it would get the Arrow treatment but after your video I went to get it. And just bc I have it now it’ll get a Blu-ray 😂

Donny brasco throwback love that movie. Lawless though that is one of my favorites definitely put me on to Tom Hardy. If you like Lawless watch the first season of Taboo with Tom Hardy where he goes up against the East India Trading Company. Badass

Mischief needs a Blu-Ray update! Amy Locane from Cry-Baby is in School Ties (another 1950s movie she was in). I just got Harry & The Hendersons on blu-ray a few months ago, didn't know they had a media book, that's dope!
The media book for Harry and the Hendersons is beautiful - they have 3 different ones, this is the only one that says "Harry and the Hendersons" because everywhere else in the world it was called "Bigfoot and the Hendersons".... Mischief would be an obvious Kino Lorber blu ray or 4k release BUT I could see it be a VS Cinematographe release too! Yeah Amy is the female lead in school ties and that movies is loaded with talent!

Speaking of Kenneth Branagh...DEAD AGAIN. I love The Fan, and Mischief and I still own Blast From The Past and The Count Of Monte Cristo on VHS. Here's my part 2, Arlington Road, The Negotiator, Ruthless People, At Close Range, Desperate Measures, Mad City, Pleasantville, Warrior, Dragnet and all movies with Richard Pryor .
Pleasentville is another good but overlooked film - It may have been in my plans for part 3 to this video lol
@@AVAPopCulture The 1975 version of Monty Cristo is also worth a watch, there's a few details from the books that made it into the movie. To me The Count Of Monty Cristo is the greatest book ever written, there is a new french movie adaptation coming out this year that got a 11-minute standing ovation at the cannes festival, this is my most anticipated movie since Terminator 2.

My demon Lover is quite a gem if you ask me. just as good as my best friend's a vampire. Cowboy way I remember seeing the trailer for often back then. never saw it but remember it got promoted often back then. Donnie Brasco is a fantastic movie.
Mr. Destiny was one I forgot I watched over the years. it an interesting take on it wonderful life for sure. it was ok. it had it moments. this come out around the time James B. was on a career high. he not as great as his late brother but had some good movies back in the late 80's and early 90's. this movie does need a dvd or blu ray release. it a forgotten gem for sure.
Blast from the past is not bad.
Count of Monte Cristo is a nice remake of an old B&W movie you may have seen featured in a movie called V For Vendetta. never seen the B&W version btw.
Toy Solders is a fun movie.
could not stand harry and the Henderson. I felt it was just didn't do it for me. cute movie felt like I seen this type this movie done a bit better.
here is a movie I though nobody heard of much. that movie is Youngblood with Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayzie.
another one I mention earlier is my brest friend's a vampire.
also there is another that came on blu ray but I read it was poorly transferred. it called Solarbabies. it a bit a mad max type of movie with some sic-fi elements
