seems like the bot spam is just wasted metal.. a constant drain on your production.. if you build defense towers with repair turrets behind them they'll stay alive and gain xp.. and the enemy bot spam becomes a field of metal handed to you..
i think the key is to stop and start eco scaling.. like at the start you get 10 energy converters and energy production to match then stop scaling eco to build defenses fast to handle any early bot spam.. once safe you resume scaling.. maybe you get 30 energy converters up and build t2 defense towers.. then 10 t2 energy converters perhaps.. etc
if they're not stopping their eco scaling then they're unlikely to have a strong army to attack with.. they'll have a weak bot spam that can't penetrate your defenses and die losing all investment into them..
when you got maybe 30 t2 energy converters with matching energy production.. then build super defenses... then t3 army .. then eco scale again while that t3 army crushes enemy sites.. or build army and build defense as the army pushes
anyways that's what i've learned from fighting strong groups of AI.. if i didn't start and stop eco scaling i was toast.. but if i did i'd often beat crazy strong AI..
anyways i know the meta is to spam bots.. but is that just everyone following a meta or something based on research.. maybe it works against many players also playing the meta.. and it boils down to speed not strategy.. my way, how you build base is so important.. spacing.. how much you can fit under bubble.. how you buffer with defense and repair and more..
i just haven't played any real players.. so maybe they are better than crazy AI settings.. but anyways i thought i'd share the information i learned..
i noticed in this game you had crazy eco at the end but never actually got to use it.. i think stopping it and building t3s would of be really good.. but you guys won and maybe that was coming i dunno.. i just know when you stop scaling eco you build things sooo much faster... and you can start it back up when it's done..
i find there's such a big jump in power with t3.. so i want some of those asap... sure my scaling will be slowed a bit.. so what? a bit less bot spam deaths?
i don't know.. it just seems like the meta is wrong but I don't really know.. maybe the numbers show that t3 is not as good
i find everything just gets shredded so fast.. only thors and titans actually let you micro with any effectiveness.. even the razorbacks get ripped apart.. i might build a few of those as defense units but for my armada attack force lol.. thors and titans ftw..
anyways maybe there's lots i don't know but maybe people are just stuck on the meta
short answer: no. long answer: nobody sane of mind will read all that shit, learn how to use paragraphs, i just read the first 3 lines and you are wrong, spam is useful.

@@manumaster1990 i have heard it before.. many times.. but paragraphs make it look even longer and give people an easy place to stop reading.. if people are interested in what i'm saying the structure shouldn't matter all that much..
i think it's like people getting triggered by caps.. sure it's not as easy to read but it's just caps not a crumpled Egyptian papyrus.. lol
it's so easy to be misunderstood with text that i like to be specific.. that often requires a lot of text.. i don't want to have to answer 20 questions and explain everything i meant.. but i'm not writing a book either.. it's a one minute read.. i put these nice little dots to break it up see.. lol..
anyways i just don't really care what anyone thinks except the person i'm talking to usually.. i'd edit it for them if asked no problem..
it does help separate ideas.. but i actually try to compact ideas into short single sentences.. i just have lots of ideas to communicate because i like to be clear.. and twenty one line sentences would look worse and might be harder to read..
