- In this video, we review the Tenveo VHD20N PTZ Camera with a fine-toothed comb. There were some problems along the way but we worked through those! I hope that you watch this video all the way through. You don't want to miss some of the details during our troubleshooting process!

Nice! Looking forward to more videos. We have 4 canon hg g30. We built devices using wii nunchuck controllers to control the cameras canon g30. But we want to update, to 4K. Hoping they come out with 4K soon
Sounds like a great setup! 4K is great if you have the bandwidth and other equipment for it. Otherwise it just looks like 1080p to your viewers. It’s a great goal to have though!
mostly for post editing 4k needed, we run fiber and have no issues on bandwidth.@@RevisionMedia
I looked at their website, their ptz have good image quality because it has Sony image sensor. But, they don't have NDI & PoE in one camera. Thanks for the video, your info helps a lot.

Right?? It’s such a surprise! They are going to be working out the issues in a later update. If you have any, you can email support so they are aware of the issues.

The NDI version have POE?
Is the NDI capable? If not, do they have one that is of the same quality as this one? And finally, do you like the image quality of this camera better than the AVKANS 20X Zoom camera? I'm trying to choose a camera for close ups of our baptisms both into our ProPresenter computer for FOH screens as well as our separate streaming computer. Thanks for this review!
You’re welcome! Sorry it was such a late reply! They don’t have an NDI version as of right now. I know that they plan on coming out with one. I actually like this camera a lot more than the AVKANS. To be honest, the AVKANS is sitting in my office right now. It’s still a great camera, don’t get me wrong. I just prefer the TENVEO. The link I’ve provided in the description is the camera in the video. It’s awesome camera! I hope this helps!!
Been using an old Tenveo PTZ model (1st gen probably) on our church for a few years via remote..so far works well.. just curious though..what's the model of your controller? thanks!

It does in both the IP menu and the on camera menu.

Can you control this camera through OBS PTZ when connected using NDI? Or control it with a Windows PC at all? I don’t have a PTZ controller so I need to control this using my computer.
Edit: I got the VHD20H model. For anyone curious you can't control it through NDI you need the model specific for NDI. You can make a work around using RTSP in VLC to see it in NDI but you can't control it. You can control the camera while networked by loggging into the cameras IP portal. You can also control this in OBS using the PTZ Controls plugin using the VISCA/TCP connection.
I have the same camera and was able to get the PTZ controls in OBS to work for a couple months, but then they stopped. I think I might have some of the settings wrong. In the settings, are you using TCP port 52381?
I tried to connect this camera to our computer using the HMDI and it did not recognize the camera on QuickTime. Only when I used the USB cable, did it recognize the camera. We have already wired for HMDI. Any suggestions?
Sounds like you might need a video capture card. This converts your HDMI to USB so that it can be recognized.

I got these for my church and am just realizing you can't daisy chain RS-232 with them... Can you split the signal from a joystick controller to each of the cameras?
That’s the way we have it set up now. We have each camera and the joystick connect to a POE network switch. It works great!

Yes. You can do that from the settings menu.

Joystick delay and no super smooth movements make it unusable for my clients
For now. There are going to be some firmware updates that should fix it. We worked out quite a bugs already. Clean footage though right?

Yeah that would be nice. But for streaming I don’t know that you would really see that quality anyways.
