Looking forward to getting this given that the errors from the current Blu-rays have apparently been fixed, most importantly the frame rate, very excited!
frame rate and text are fixed, only worth it if those things really bother you, fair if they do, but most people aren't aware of those issues. For the average person or most people this set isnt gonna be worth it unless you have never owned a physical copy of these episodes before
Another one that hasn't said what an amazing upgrade to 1080 the entire set is as well as restored music scores and full speed unlike bluerays I originally bought
I would have liked to have seen Christopher Eccleston do more Doctor Who but he said in an interview was he left because he found making the show very hard work. Peter Capaldi said the same thing during one of his interviews. Patrick Troughton said that the reason he left the show was that it was hard work and advised Peter Davison to only give it 3 years.
It's a lovely set. Ive got the previous blurays but I will upgrade if the picture and sound are better. Going to wait till I see some reviews. Eccleston's my favourite New Who Doctor but I love Tennant aswell. Great video as always. 😀
Unfortunately they aren't better. The only thing that is fixed is the slowdown and most people dont even know what it is let alone notice it on the old set.
There was a few problems with the first ones. Frame rate issues. But they’ve now done them at 24p and pitch correction. So they say. Looking forward to checking them out.
How does it look? I have the older blu rays do you know if there is a huge difference? Was going to correct you on series 5 but you cotrected yourself 😂
I feel the artwork is a bit of a let down
I wish they would release the 9th Doctor separately. I already have The Complete David Tennant Collection on Blu-ray.

I bought this boxset last Friday and I'm currently watching The Doctor Dances the Christopher and Billie featuring John Barrowman as Captain Jack

Very obvious slowdown in the old sets on the old sets. Opening tittles in particular are very sluggish. Looking forward to the new sets.
