  • Transcription initiation in eukaryotes lecture - This lecture explains about the eukaryotic transcription initiation in details. Transcription initiation requires a lot of transcription factors that help in the assembly of preinitiation complex near the transcription start site. The attachment of other accessory proteins help the RNA polymease to escape the promoter and initiate the elongation of eukaryotic transcription.

    Really informative video, but firstly it's important to note that DNA is packaged with histones as chromatin, so the structure of the DNA must be altered to allow binding of the GTF's (TFIID etc), either by ATP-mediated nucleosome remodelling or promoter acetylation by HAT's
