China's industrial robot production surges with AI widely used

- Digital transformation has become crucial to companies wanting to improve their business, and the outbreak of COVID-19 last year actually sped that up.
In China, key technologies like Five-G and artificial intelligence are being widely used to create new opportunities and industrial patterns, and the application of industrial robots is also on the rise to support the country’s high-end manufacturing development.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology told a news briefing today that the Industrial Added Value of China’s high-end manufacturing sector saw a 20.6 percent year-on-year rise in the first three quarters of the year.

Since China’s government has put priority in the AI technology and innovation it will be global leader very soon not only in manufacturing but also in other areas such as space science, clean nuclear energy, automation in agriculture, etc. The future looks bright for China.

Those ABB robots looks like they were salvaged from some junkyard. We should use our domestically manufactured robots, not Swedish-Swiss junks, especially those made under the management of private equity firms.

@@75700neo they reminded me of those depicted in the movie Real Steel. I’ve seen robotic arms for welding that come with better designs and better looks. These could be very old models, and like you said, not very well maintained.
