5:10 This single WIi intro gave me so much nostalgia. I remember I was 5 years old and I was going grocery shopping with my mom at a Vons and I asked her to rent a movie from the Redbox just as we were leaving and she agreed. I was originally going to get Despicable Me but I saw that you could rent video games. At the time, I only had 4 games for my Wii, Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Mario and Sonic at the WInter Olympic Games. I had just started my Sonic phase and I saw that Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing was available so my mom got it for me. When I got home I quickly ate my dinner and went to play the new game I had just gotten and I immediately knew it was my favorite game. I remember when I went into the game from the menu, the sound was really loud and my mom told me to put it down. After I made my licence in the game, I saw a ton of characters I had no idea who were so I picked sonic. After a month, my mom had to return it and I was really sad. After 3 months without the game, it was my birthday and my best friend came over. He heard me talking about the game alot at school and he ended up getting it for me. I didnt even want to pizza or cake so I ran to my living room and put the disk into the Wii. I handed out 3 remotes to my other friends and we played it. After 2 hours of playing everyone got bored exept for me and I let everyone eat my cake just so that I could play my game. I ended up unlocking everything in 3 days.
this game was the absolute foundation of my childhood, but i had it on the 360 rather than the wii. I actually found a wii disc of the game lying in my basement, but it doesn't work :(
I remember going to a videogame shop called game planet (the ones from LATAM and Mexican know what I'm talking about) but i owned the PS3 version, never owned the Wii one

I’m glad I found another person that loves this game. I used to play it all the time on my Wii and I ended up completing all the challenges on the game with an AAA rank. I loved it to death.

Not so fun fact:The newer models of the wii didn’t have the gamecube disk, instead it was just a white disk on the screen, because the newer models didn’t accept gamecube disks for some reason.

I will NEVER forget the sound to Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, hands down one of my favorite Wii games that I still continue to play to this day, plus all the other sonic games as well!! Such a wonderful section!!!
Those little features were adding a lot to the mood of the wii. The twilight princess one took me back to the Christmas of 2006. The living room was full of ripped gift wrap, I was sat on the floor with my Christmas pyjama, and this sound came out from the tv and mark the beginning of an epic journey.

Fun fact! The reason that new Just Dance games are still being put on the Wii, is because the console is used as physical therapy for children. It's really a great reasoning for it, and not necessarily because Ubisoft makes money from it.

-all of the skylander's intos are the exact same
-too many of these are just a still image
-there are a ton of guitar hero games
-theres a lego rockband
-some games from the same brand used the same song over and over (which is unfortunate)
-nintendo really put a lot of love into their own games/channels (not so much for everyone else)

I always forget that Boom Blox was one of my first Wii games. (And one of the few good Wii games I had for many years. I was young and I didn't know what games to ask for, so I mostly played kiddy games.) I got a wave of nostalgia from hearing its startup sound.

I love how the Homebrew Channel is still part of the family, my third world child self appreciates that
I know no one really ever had this game, but I remember rushing to hit start on the Go Vacation Disc screen. There was a whoosh of an airplane and it would shout "GO VACATION" louder than the Wii startup. Basically impossible to play in the middle of the night without waking someone up.

I love how they marketed the Wii to be like a tv but for game, it has channels, it has a freaking remote, allot of the channels have “the” and “channel” in it, it even has CZcams, Netflix, and Hulu plus, much more creative than anything the switch can do

And the other games because I had no idea there were more made after... I want to say... Swap Force? That came out before the racing and Trap one, right? I got severely out of the loop with that franchise

The music that plays on “Rayman: Raving Rabbids” at 6:54 is actually the same music that plays on a dev “DiscCheck” tool, wonder if the devs of that game just forgot to change it cuz it’s probably some placeholder
