We are a young Australian couple raising our six beautiful children aged 9, 8, 7, 6, 6, 6! That's right.. with the surprise addition of our sweet baby triplets, we had six children in three years!
We are now happy to announce the twins arrival five years later after the triplets in October 2020!

I know, I loved his elaborate idea of having Sylvie sleep in his room and getting up in the night to take care of her if she woke up.
Can you fit a bunk bed against the back wall in Hank and Rufus' room? (So, perpendicular to where their beds current are). That would really make the room feel more open, since it seems to be one of the smaller ones.
i believe they don't realy play in their rooms, so just for sleeping and clothes this is perfect.
They do,what they want and are minimalists, a bedroom is just for sleeping and storing their clothing. They don’t need any other advice from outsiders!

@@DoubleTroubles729 I'm sure they don't need you to protect them. They can just ignore the comments they don't find helpful, like everyone does. Or smile and say thanks and then do whatever they were going to do anyway.

Evan and Otto’s is perfect with all their books like they live in a library! Seems like everyone is matched up really well. Where I live in the Chicagoland area a room is officially a bedroom if it had a built in closet in it. If there’s no closet it’s not a bedroom. I know you can make any room into a bedroom but that’s how a bedroom is classified by the real estate companies!
In the Netherlands houses almost never have built-in closets, so by those standards pretty much non of the houses here would have bedrooms what so ever 😂😂
I think Felix is the poor middle child the others have a little pact. Triplets and twins will be a little closer and Evan and Otto are best buddies. I would have put Otto with Felix to break the pacts

In Australia I believe a bedroom needs to be a minimum size and must have a window/natural light source
that's really interesting. houses rarely have built in closets here in the UK. you normally just put a freestanding wardrobe and/or chest of drawers in each bedroom. i always found the closet thing weird when watching US shows and films.
Cosmo could share with Felix and Pearl and it would be the '' *Ginger's Room* '' Yeahhh xD

@@elpink5424 by choosing something of a minority and pointing it out and using a term it is discriminating against them. Would you call it a the blonde kids room or the Brown eyed room. Probably not. It is poking fun at them. There is also a social experiment you can read about on the internet regarding blue eyed/brown eyed people. Just don’t comment on physical appearances.
Our 4 year old shares a room with us, we have a really small house so it's what fits best. We have 2 bedrooms but we used second one for her playroom and it works out for us.
Smart room Arrangements! You have to do what benefits your family regardless of what other people think.

It would be amazing to see you add some character to the older kids room. As many times you have configured the kids bedrooms, they have only been plain. So look forward to seeing you do some amazing things to the rooms besides just beds.
Yeah, I liked the kids' ideas to put things on the walls. It's an easy way to add personality and warmth to the room. The older boys' room looked so nice with the bookshelf and rug.
Otto is sooo grown up , he always sounds mature lately hahaha. He seems to have a great personality.

I have always had a soft spot for Felix - he is such a sweet soul (although all of your babies are) and I love the bond he has with his little sisters!
Felix is the sweetest boy in the world. When he wanted to put his baby sister in his room and said he didn't mind her waking him up. He wanted to take care of her. This was so sweet that I cried. Later on I cried again. All of your children are so sweet. They want to take care of their baby sister and brother. You have done a wonderful job raising your children.
The rooms turned out really well. The kids all seem so happy with who they are sharing with 😊

You could use bins on bottom of book shelves to put some clothing as well. I see some extra space at top of book case where books can be moved up a bit.

@@quicksilver455 yes I know, it's amazing 😊 but in Aus and NZ it's not super common and even if you do, a lot of people don't talk about it. There's a strong sleep training culture here where parents are told their child should be in their own room and sleeping all night from a young age

As a German it's strange for me that every room usually has a built in cupboard for the clothes and stuff. It doesn't exist over here and you always have to buy a big one yourself 😁 And for most people that's the biggest items you have to move (apart from the kitchen) when you move houses ;)

Und die sind auch nicht immer schön. Ich hab einen echt schönen Kleiderschrank in meinem Zimmer hier in Australien, hatte also echt Glück, aber mein Mitbewohner hat einen richtig dunklen alten eingebauten Schrank.
I don’t know how common it is in Australia. Our place doesn’t have any and most people I know don’t have built in wardrobes but it is definitely increasing. Most new builds have built in wardrobes. I don’t know if I’m a fan of it personally. I like being able to move all the furniture around

Like older homes here in U.S., most homes outside the U.S. don't have closets as they are taxed as another room. They have wardrobes, some very beautiful & ornate. 🏡
I grew up with 2 families (9 kids) in a 1 bedroom house. The 'living room' and 'bedroom' was switched. My mother & Aunt shared a bed in the 'dining room'.
We kept our babies in our room until they slept thru the night. 🛌 Much easier on mom & dad.

In my country it is pretty common even for toddlers to sleep in their parents room. My kids stayed in our room until they were 3 or 4 years of age.

Its reccomend babies room share with parents until at least 12 months anyway. I also think if you're going to be anxious and they're night waking etc no one is going to be sleeping well apart anyway so no point really 😊

Hey I wanted to let you in on an ikea hack, the lonset slates that have a bit of a frame fit perfectly into the bottom of the ikea Kura and raise the bottom mattress off the floor (my twins had the same when they were smaller) x
You could always transform the closet/dressing room off our your master into a bedroom for the twins. That way they are still close to you, but they have their own space. Just take out some of the shelves and put the cribs in there.
But they're only babies and they still wake up in the night. Of course they could find a way to give them a separate room if they wanted, but they don't want to yet.
@@quicksilver455 right. Im just saying that that closet room is literally right next to them. She had mentioned that they thought of giving them their own room. I just thought that would be a good way to do that, but they would still be close to them.

I had both my babies with me in a cot in our room until they were about 19 months. The first one was out of necessity, and the second, although we had the room, I just wanted her with me. I could reach out and check on her in the night.

I wondered that too, although on the other hand I like that they have had the experience of sharing in different combinations. They get to know different siblings better and have different experiences. A quieter room one time, a more chatty room another time, etc.
I shared until my eldest was 4, middle was 3 and currently sharing with our 1 year old. Do what works for you x

Could be, although 5 years age difference is pretty big.
Yeah, the twins will most likely be separated at some point, but since they're the youngest, keep them together for a while (like Sheldon and Missy on Young Sheldon). Having such an uneven number of genders, I know it's tough to figure out.
I mean i shared a room with my sister who was 8 yrs older than me from the time i was like 3 til i was 8.
