What I love about this series is that it has forced me to go back and enjoy the work of some highly skilled wrestlers whom I had zero admiration for as a kid/teen.
Picked up Malenko and Arn Anderson and I'm very happy to add them to my collection. Looming forward to discovering more greats.
The Classic Superstars line is one of the best figure series ever. The only series 1 figure I have is Bret Hart. Can't wait to see the rest.

Same here. Saw them on the shelf but too concerned with college and career prospects to grab them at the time. Years later, I wish I grabbed that Warrior fig in his WrestleMania 6 gear.

i remember the day i seen series 1 classic superstars on the shelves of Smyths and my mind was blown. Of course i have to buy them all the minute i saw them. I will never forget that day. i kept all of them MOC. This series is a great idea and i am already looking forward to the next one!!!!

I was at my Walmart when I was confused trying to figure out why they used pictures of the wrestlers on shawn and Triple H, I didn't really mind the undertaker titantron body my biggest gripe was the white boots instead of purple boot covers to match his gloves and the Andre double strap wrist tape a knee pads so when I got a second one I had a Dremel and sanded down one strap sanded off the wrist tape and knee pads and few years ago I got another extra popped his head off and put it on a deluxe aggression Big show to make a deluxe aggression classic superstars Andre a d sanded off the black shorts then got another Andre the giant head put it on a bone crunching doctor death figure sanded down half the strap on the singlet sanded down the red on the legs and painted it black and the boots black foe a BCA Andre
I knew the line was coming out. I really do forget where I heard about them. But I found them at a local toys store up in my town. Bought them all without thinking. They are the first set I actually kept in the package and still till this day have them moc. I get why it was such a 50/50 set. But like you said having the Warrior was huge.

Those CS1 HBK's would go for around $200 back in the day. No idea why, the UK was littered with them. This was released around the time of Undertaker's return to the Deadman Character at Wrestlemania XX, and I remember as a child being absolutely gutted when the figure came out as a TTL and not an RA like the proto, as it was the first old school Taker released in about 5 years.
Is there a reason you missed out Bret Hart? To me, this was always a set of two halves. Warrior, Andre and Bret were the main selling points and set the tone for the series.

Bret really wasn't part of series 1 he was the chase figure in series 1 that's why he's only in the line up on the back of his own box. As far as real pictures I don't know if it was experimental but I do find it funny that Shawn & Hunter was the only ones that got them

I didnt buy the Andre because of the double strap. However, I did buy Abdullah the Butcher because he never wrestled for WWE.

You can definately see the cheapness of this series 1, picked up the Undertaker and really had a hard time identifying him from the classic superstars line, stamping on the foot also identified as 1999 titon Tron live

The facts on the back of the boxes wasn't always accurate. On the back of my shawn Michaels collector series #15 box it says he debuted in 1965 which is impossible because that's the year he was born

Kyle....I want to collect a WWF/WWE line. I am thinking this line by Jakks. But the current Ultimates line is also calling out to me. In your opinion what would be the best line to collect, between the two. I grew up in the 80s I remember all those superstars that Jakks made. Help me out with some advice.
Ultimates have about 20 figures so far classics has hundreds. Ultimates is probably best bet but won’t be as deep of a roster
I have a series 2 Dude Love Classic Superstar figure with an error on the box. I believe it's big John Studds photo and details..I actually have doubles of it..Do know anything about this? I know that Dude love was considered rare at the time so I'd assume these 2 figures are extremely rare? I've never seen another one and I have 2 that I purchased at Walmart in Toronto Canada probably in 2004.. if you could shed some light on this I'd greatly appreciate it

SUGGESTION: dont know if you need it fam. But if you OWN every ruthless aggrension, adrenaline, 2 packs, classics, and even deluxe aggresion u should show them 1 by 1. From series 1 - etc. your channel would grow so much if you show off every series 💯🙏

Love the Jakks classic line. Idk why but the Mattel elites just never did it for me. Too small and feel cheap. I hope wwe leaves Mattel soon
