  • Michael Meade tells the African story "The Lizard in the Fire" from the Housa people. Through indelible ritual images the story explores the archetypal dilemma of loyalty to parents vs. loyalty to one's spouse. Followed by a deep and thought-provoking discussion of how the story can help reveal a man's life.

I thoroughly enjoy the sharing of these videos!! Thanks.
I wonder why all of the discussions go off into the external rather than the dance on the various traits of our own Psyches? Say, what is the mother inside of us that needs to die by having the maiden in us dive into the fire within us to save the lizard within us?
