Celebrity is Classy casual. It is elevated from other cruise lines but it is still casual so as long as you are not walking around in sweatpants etc you will be fine. You will also not see the torn jeans even if they are the purposefully done ones. But jeans and t-shirts will be seen. I personally love it and cannot wait for my next cruise in December. I sailed on the Solstice before 2020 and it was a regular sailing. I did not find it to feel crowded and the only time I had to work at all to find a seat was onboarding day at the buffet. We got to the ship at 1pm and on boar by 2 and needed lunch stat. ( We had been up since 3am and traveling and were Hangry and tired).
I am so glad you enjoyed celebrity! It is wonderful, it’s not as high class as everyone thinks, I think it’s just perfect! My favourite are the Solstice class ships ❤️
Now that you have done the Millennium and Edge class ships, you need to try the Solstice class (Solstice, Equinox, Silhouette, Reflection or Eclipse) to fill the set. In particular, you need to try some of the different Specialty restaurants (my wife and I love Murano for a special date night) and the World Class Bar.

Really liked seeing the cruise director, Rich. We've had him on some prior cruises and loved him. If I recall correctly, he also used to do a sock of the day.
We are Platinum on Carnival and went on out first Celebrity cruise in July on the Edge. We loved it so much we came home and booked 3 more. I was worried it would be too fancy but people were friendly and we loved it! Glad you had a great time! The bathroom on the Edge is awesome!
May/22 can't come soon enough to sail on the Silhouette. We love the Solstice class ships. Also, it's those little details on Celebrity that keeps us coming back for more. Martini Bar is always a hit!

I think you'll love the Solstice class which is next up from the Millenium class, and then when you're ready, you can see the new beauties in the Apex class. I'm confused on the arm band, my daughter did archery classes and never had to wear one. Couldn't hear why he said you had to as for the "safety" reason.
So how was the food on celebrity. We just got off carnival last week and I swear if they don’t change their food we r leaving 😔. Kidding we r leaving anyway. Going on to different lines like y’all starting in October.

It made our minds up it was time to move on. There are to many newer ships and more tech out there. Y’all have given us great insight on the options so thanks.
Protocols changed a lot of the methods that you get your perks now with Carnival, but you do still get them in most cases. You get a two-day head start on check-in so you can snag the early time slots. You do have to call to get your strawberries delivered. You've got to pick up your pin and loyalty gift from the photo gallery. You get bonus free play in the casino, but you've got to go to the cashier window to load it. Lots of small changes, but it's a lot to get used to, hah...

We were A5 dead smack in middle of embarkation and was told it was new protocols which I don’t understand when we was sitting in middle of 2000 guests waiting to board. Anyway. Ugh. The green shorts actually used to be pants from Old Navy but they were to short on me so Jay's Aunt made shorts for me. I love them so comfortable.

We had fantastic food on Celebrity. So far, Celebrity, Princess, and Royal have really impressed. Carnival has gone a bit downhill as of late, sadly!!

Celebrity is fancy but staff seems violent when confronted with a bad situation. Not ok for me.
