After you clean the copper pipe so they are shiny you can spray them with a clear lacquer so that they won't oxidize and they will always stay beautiful

When working with copper you need to keep it away from any "permanent" contact with other metals, with "brass" being the exception. If connecting to another type of metal pipe you need to use a "brass" fitting between the two. Because the copper will react with other metals (except brass) causing corrosion over time.
I'm smitten with the village but admit it could do with more shops again. The fact that you are showcasing how beautiful and possible it is to live there might be just what is needed to attract more people and business. ❤

You need the people first do they really need any more shops maybe a few shops that have lasted and worked so hard all these years could expand a little once they know there. Are people there to buy their products. Just my opinion bye for now PS is there any places you can pay to stay in the village or nearby this may also help the shops ❤❤❤

It’s interesting to see that copper was chosen for the piping with its decorative characteristics. In Canada copper is rarely used in new home builds because it is very expensive. It still serves as a replacement in older homes. New homes have polyethylene and pvc piping. Lucia is so cute. She always wants to be a part of the activity. It should be interesting when her language is more developed. She will be directing everyone on what to do. So sweet. Ketchup also works well to clean brass.
I imagine that’s due to the acidic content. Thinking cola might work too?!
@@joellepatry493 you might want to add a bit of flour to the cola to make a paste so it stays on for awhile. Vinegar with flour is another idea.
My mother would keep her copper bottom pots with vinegar and salt. One teaspoon of salt and about a tablespoon of vinegar

Copper pipes are Bella here in America we don’t weld anymore we use
Pro press ! I watched my plumber use it on my water heater copper pipe ! It’s amazing !
We hear that question a lot. And there's nothing wrong with soldering or “sweating” copper pipe. It's reliable, relatively easy to learn and every plumbing contractor should know how to do it. But it's not the best way to join copper pipe - pressing with ProPress !

When joining the copper fittings in the US we call it soldering, not welding.
Soldering heat is below 840 F, welding around 10,000 F, thus different heat sources.
