In asien countries its quite easy for fathers to take custody married or not!! Reality is hard for single mothers and kids, there is a stigma so its seems better for a kind to live with his father!! Tragic logic but as patriarchical societies dont make it easy for women...

That's not entirely true plenty men get custody of their children rather they are married to the mother or not. My son got full custody of my two grandsons when they was 2 years old and the other was a year old .The mother just walked into court and gave him full custody They are both in their 20's now and married. Also one of my My grandson also got full custody of my great grand son he fought for 2 years to get him.
Many men said it's a up hill battle but it's worth it. The family court system has been changing. They use to always grant the mother custody but the dynamic has changed.
