That's funny. I've been using Hoka clifton 8's, and they are a bit small; so I just got some Bondi's, and I did my second run In them yesterday, and now I have some horrible foot pain (I can hardly stand on my left foot.).

I have currently been rocking some brooks for about a couple of years now and need a new pair of runners. Should I try out sauconys or is there another brand I should look into?
Nick, Any thoughts on a good stability shoe? I used the Saucony Endorphin Speed’s for about a month and my inner knee’s hurt so bad. Found out I pronate… I know about all the Brooks shoes but I’m not a fan at all. I use Hoka Arahi 6 and they’re decent but not like the Speed
Interesting choices, I could never run with anything in my hand, I way prefer a lightweight belt with a small 120 ml bottle (or 2), otherwise I get shoulder strains.
Hey Nick, I own two pairs of the Vaporfly Next% and one of them is already above 700km, the other at ~300km. So these hold way longer if you use them right, I think. And have you tried the Alphafly Next% for racing?
I shouldn't wear endorphin speed's everyday, because they have a plate in it. They are really amazing but I should pick like a Saucony ride 15 or triumph 20 for my easy runs. Keep it up!
You can take Vaporflys to like 5 or 600 miles. Just don’t use them for races after 200 but they still hold up extremely well structurally for a long time. Midsole just loses some pop.

Learn to run, and learn how to “be better” all you can do to prep is walk into it with an strong mind and open heart and be the best damn boot you can be, if you do that then you’ll be fine
Work up to being able to run 5 miles a day 5 days a week add some weight to your runs with a weighted backpack perfect your running form to avoid any and all injuries do calisthenics every day or lift weights 3-5 days a week get mobile and stretch and last but not least put yourself through some hard situations and make yourself suffer a little bit
Learn how to take everything in stride, be prepared to be yelled at for minor deviations from the standards you just learned were even a thing. Sleep fast when you can and wake up even faster.
I noticed you always wear the v1 vaporfly next% - do the v2s not fit you as well, any reason you don't use the newer version like you do with the saucony endorphin speeds? Just like the colorway better?
I love my Apple Watch and data/studies confirm it’s not extremely inaccurate. It’s VERY accurate. It’s not at the same level of the strap, but it’s the next best thing.
Hey Nick, I'm a true 43 year strong (not physically) true Austinite. I've never worked out a day in my life and am about to run a DEKA MILE this weekend in Liberty Hill, volunteering at the Spartan Super in Burnet Texas the following weekend, Spartan Sprint in Colorado Springs early June and when we return on Monday, volunteering for the Spartan Stadion that weekend. Can you help a non fit, non workout disciplined, broke 43 year old make a podium by next year?
I find I chafe less in a 5 inch short vs a 3 inch. Maybe I just haven't found the right 3 inch short, but the 5 inch shorts puts the fabric in between where my legs tend to rub and allows it to slide along instead of my skin sliding along my skin and winding up irritated.
P.S Nike do a 2 inch race short 🤩 One question though. I am an athletic guy and the top of my thighs rub unless I have short length running tight. Did your inner thighs chaf from the short shorts? If so, how do you combat this fire between your thighs? Any advice or tips would be great. Thank you inadvance
Very curious about this as well. I’m guessing he will have folks on his team stationed across the course who will give him a bottle. Technically I think most races don’t allow this but no one monitors and “really” cares in my experience.
Hey Nick, I train with the endorphin speed 2’s and also ASICS. I’m running my first half marathon on the 22nd of May. Do you recommend running in the endorphin speeds? I’ve been training on them for months.
Hey I know I’m not Nick but feel like I can add input. Obviously since you’ve been training in them for months then the performance might not be optimum for the shoe. But if you’re comfy and confident with them I’d say wear them. Because for your first half a lot of things are new, so I’d suggest keeping something constant and that can give you confidence in no foot pain rubbing etc
@@GeeTee88 oh by not optimal I meant it’ll lose some performance from being a little older and having more mileage in. The endorphin speed is a very very very good shoe. So it’ll for sure do the job on race day!
I always have at least 20 pairs in my running shoe rotation. The key how you get more miles out of a pair of running shoes is to be like a surgeon and you treat shoes like patients. You have different categories of shoes for different types of runs and conditions. Then you wear them according to the system. For example a new pair of Asics Novablast is fast, soft and responsive. I wear them only for long runs for the first 400k which means at least 10 long runs. After that I can wear them for easy runs (the shoe is too fast as new for easy paces) and voilà the pair reached at least the 500 mls mark. The same applies to other shoes as well and I have a different rotation for outdoors and indoors (meaning treadmill and indoor track).
I have a question about the Speeds: I used them as my daily trainer for a year. I’m being advised to use something without a plate as a daily trainer, and to do the majority of my workouts in non plated shoes to build strength. I’m FAR more confident when I’m running in Speeds daily. Do you find any drawbacks to running in plates daily?
They are generally referring to carbon plates when making that statement since the propulsion/effect is so high. Not so much the nylon plate in the speed which is a softer ride.
@@lechef3878that's what I thought too. But it was specified to me they meant the nylon as well. These are decently accomplished runners, and I've only been running 2 years. I want to make sure I'm not wrong to prefer the speeds as a daily trainer.

is there an equipment i can stick it into my leg so i will be for heavy while i am running, i hope you got what i mean :)
I see Nick running in the Noosa Tri’s as well.. why leave those out?
Nick how inaccurate are watches for heart rate like do they read to high or too low?
Nick, what is your trail running shoe?
@Nick Bare do you have the 47 mm watch, or the 51 mm Fenix 6x pro. Looking forward to hear from you
6x Pro?!
The Nathan holder is cool, but a simple 1L Camelback is also super lightweight
Bro love everything you do! Side note, you look thinner in the face. Losing weight?
How will you get more g1m sport while doing the marathon in New York? That will not be the sponsored fuel for the race?
Very curious about this as well. I’m guessing he will have folks on his team stationed across the course who will give him a bottle. Technically I think most races don’t allow this but no one monitors and “really” cares in my experience.
Often times it's allowed in a specific distance to the official aid stations
It’s sad that you don’t deliver to Europe mate , I would buy your supps instantly
I wear the 7” Nike Stride short with the boxer brief liner. Feels like there’s nothing there but I’ll never go longer than 7” ever again
What brand are you trail running shoes?
Is the Garmin a 47mm or 51mm?
Hey Nick, I train with the endorphin speed 2’s and also ASICS. I’m running my first half marathon on the 22nd of May. Do you recommend running in the endorphin speeds? I’ve been training on them for months.
Hey I know I’m not Nick but feel like I can add input. Obviously since you’ve been training in them for months then the performance might not be optimum for the shoe. But if you’re comfy and confident with them I’d say wear them. Because for your first half a lot of things are new, so I’d suggest keeping something constant and that can give you confidence in no foot pain rubbing etc
@@Trackstaa_ thanks for the input. I know it’s not the optimal marathon shoe but I can’t afford those Nikes that everyone wears lol.
@@GeeTee88 oh by not optimal I meant it’ll lose some performance from being a little older and having more mileage in. The endorphin speed is a very very very good shoe. So it’ll for sure do the job on race day!
@@Trackstaa_ okay great, it has about 200 miles on it so far. Needless to say it’s very broken in. Lol
What kind of watch band is that for the garmin?
I'm glad i finally know who pooped in my backyard
I legit just asked what Watch he has. He never disappoints
Is it Fenix 6 pro or 6X pro?
Nivk, any paticular reason behind eating honey?
Nike came out with a 2in short!
