Mindstorms was the first line of programming blocks LEGO produced, the yellow and grey chunks with buttons you see on a lot of the modules.

You could shorten workshop modules to "Shop Mods" to have the minimum syllables in your "workshop module" abbreviation. The problem with W is that it has more syllables than half the words that start with it.
The spiral-and-buoyancy based continuous pump is called an Archimedes Screw, by the way

Whenever I see things like this I always get impressed with the amount of moving things at once... I then remember this is real life and that can happen.
Use the mouse module to click the text module and then click the comment module so other people with modules can see your text that you made with the module.

Awwww man, I was really hoping to see a clip of all of the illuminated parts during the "lights out" time. Besides that, this mega contraption, and the video, are absolutely amazing!

10:16 kids love that one bc it look like all our creations as kids, colours didnt matter, it only mattered if the block worked there or not.
Here is an idea....get some UV fluorescent paint of different colors, paint a ball per color, setup a UV light tunnel with a camera, and add an Arduino to monitor the images and detect when one of those few specially marked UV balls comes through. You can then create an electronics Leaderboard that times how long it took each of the fluorescent balls to circumnavigate the Contraption. "The Blue Fluorescent Ball took 37 min 22 sec, and has lapped 6 times so far today, the Pink Fluorescent Ball took 44 min 8 sec, the Green Fluorescent ball has been missing for 2 hours now...."

I so much enjoy your GBC videos ! Some modules are very different from what can be seen in Europe, there are a number of very interesting and cool designs !
I like the ones that take a reliable mechanism and make it look cool as heck. It's a fun thing to mix it up with.

Can you imagine if they made a video game version of this? A cross between little big planet and Lego where you have to build contraptions to get the balls to different spots...simple game but fun and youd be free to create all kinds of complex contraptions without having to break your bank on bricks
