    I've made a lego trap.
Basically you leave some lego bricks inconspicuously on the floor and have some bare-footed parent step on it.

I once built a remote controlled Lego car with a working real-time collision avoidance system. It was built with Lego Mindstorm and used a laser distance sensor to detect the speed of any obstacles in front of it. It then compared the speed of the obstacle with the speed of the vehicle, and decided whether to stop the car or limit the speed to the moving object in front. All in real time. Basically like similar systems works in real cars today.

In my opinion, the complexity of a LEGO model is not based on how big it is, but how difficult the programming or how complex the mechanical structure is. So in that perspective, CZcamsr Sheepo's Garage has the other most complex LEGO creation than the loom and the Cubestorm, a car with dual clutch, transmission, and brakes.

The more technical stuff I made never really worked outside of the NXT instructional models. I think the most technical stuff I made was a tracked robot that would occasionally throw its tracks on turns, and a rubber band gun rifle using a semi auto mechanism I learned to make off a youtube tutorial.
Most complex thing I built that was actually good was a P-51D Mustang lego model, no instructions, I made it up myself, with realistic retractable landing gear. I put a lot of effort into getting a consistent color scheme (rather than just rainbow the crap out of it like most of my creations). I also put a lot of effort into making it as close to accurate to the real shape of the aircraft as possible using a small model I had.
I made that model when I was 17, and it was the last thing I ever made with my legos. Normally after building something, I’d get bored, and take it apart before building something else. That model though was really nice, and the first thing I built I wanted to have on display forever rather than take apart. So I never felt any reason to cannibalize it to build something new. In fact, all I really want to do is find some ways to improve upon it.
After that, went off to college, and now joined the air force, too busy fixing jet engines for very many hobbies, especially time consuming ones like legos, when I could be doing something that’ll provide me skills for fall backs or future careers. Such a shame though, I miss them. And now I think I know enough about mechanics that I could probably build some kickass robots. Maybe I’ll get back into it after I get out of the military. Or maybe I’ll just use what I’ve learned to graduate to a personal workshop and making projects out of metal and wood instead.
Now I have a huge bucket of legos sitting in storage somewhere. I think I’ll give them to my niece. They’re too useful an inspirational tool for young minds to just sit in a basement for a decade.

Greatest lego creation made by me: A RC lego copy of the AMX 13 75 tank. Traverse speed, elevation and depression angles/speed match the original tank. Same goes for hull traverse. Foward and backwards speed were adjusted for the lego version plus it has progressive acceleration(to simulate a gearbox because i couldnt add one bc of lack of space).
If i could make anything out of lego, i would make a 1:1 scale lego AMX 13 75.

What I made may not be very impressive, but with a simple structure I surprised some people.
    We had a course assembly.
The lesson was about propulsion. There was talk of pneumatic, hydrolic and mechanical propulsion.
When the lesson was over, I spontaneously started to think: With something that is pneumatically driven, the pressure does not automatically become much greater than the air pressure. With hydrolysis, the pressure is slightly higher because of the weight, but not yet high enough to just drive something. Something with gear wheels will not rotate by itself.
So I built a little machine, smuggled to class. At the end of the lesson, the teacher asked if there were any questions. I said, "1 at most 2 questions." I put my machine on the table and asked the teacher: "Is this a mechanical drive?" He said: "Yes." Then I asked: "Then why isn't it running?" The whole class was silent, including the teacher:)

The only thing left to build out of Lego is a time machine or a frigging nuke.

When I was younger I was a huge fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime shows but I was never able to get my hands on one of those toy duel disks that were around at the time. I did, however, have a truck ton of Lego bricks that I played with so I got this crazy idea to build my own life sized Duel Academy Duel Disk from scratch using nothing but Lego's. The even crazier thing was is that I actually pulled it off. The duel disk could fit real cards in the deck and graveyard slots and the monster + spell/trap zones were all functional as well. I even made a strap that could attach the whole thing to my wrist like a real duel disk. However, the whole contraption was pretty darn heavy so wearing it was an issue. Plus, the section that you put the monsters and spells/traps on was a bit flimsy so it didn't hold together awfully well all the time. All in all, it wasn't what I envisioned but it serves as a fantastic memory from my days playing with Lego's and is easily the biggest thing I've attempted to build from scratch with them. :)

The most complicated lego build I made was a self contained, almost unbreakable boxer 4 engine with a belt and 4 speed transmission. Sorry to brag lol.

A working spaceship. The most complicated thing I've ever built is a mindstorms robot, which I built in class for design and technology. It had battles with robots other kids built.
