In this video, Manga University artist Tadashi Koda demonstrates the process of
creating a yon-koma (four-panel) Japanese comic strip. Working with a Wacom tablet
and bundled software, Koda-sensei introduces the concept of kishōtenketsu (Japanese
narrative). This fundamental approach to storytelling, which has its roots in ancient
Chinese and Japanese poetry, is the basis of modern yon-koma manga. Wacom is
proud to have partnered with Manga University to bring you this video tutorial.
Tadashi Koda is one of Manga University’s hardest-working artists, and her illustrations
have won critical acclaim both in Japan and overseas. She is the creator of Manga
University’s popular “How to Draw Manga” series of mini guidebooks, each of which
focuses on a single aspect of the art form. - Věda a technologie

It is explained by a Japanese. How surprising. (I was expecting how a stranger make 4-komas)
1:02 This is how the Kishotenketsu story structure is created. I though it was for stories. This is why we have four cases.
I feel like the 4-koma is badly used. Four cases is a small number. Ellipses may kill the story. (Not because of the number 4)
It is the equivalent of short stories or haiku. We focus on the surface but the message can be ambigous. 4-komas is not the right format for that.
