I also love the black frame on your other cardinal finish. Like you said, I think it really enhances the beautiful colors in the piece. And such a cool circle cutting tool! Seeing your MH cardinals is my encouragement for the MH Santa I'm working on. The magnetic frame was an excellent purchase to make the stitching much more comfortable!

That circle cutter looks wonderful.. I've gotten better at cutting out circles, but I'm always looking for a way to make things easier!

The cutter works well on paper and chip board. If you’re using mat board, it will score it but not cut through it.

@@mischievousstitches If I get a decent score in the mat board, I would think it would make it easier to finish the cut with an exacto blade.. and I watched a couple of Katie Strachan's tutorials last weekend where she uses Bristol paper and felt rather than mat board, so this will probably work well for that.

So good to see your smiling face. When my oldest son was 5….he was diagnosed with a “cancerous” tumor in his middle ear. After 6 hours of surgery they had the tumor removed. Pathology tested the tissue and NO it wasn’t cancer. In the meantime….you can hardly breathe. Maybe withholding information would be better until “they” know for sure. God is good and I have a healthy and happy 42 year old. Very happy to hear that it wasn’t cancer. Take those deep breaths and enjoy each other… even when it’s just sitting together during his recovery!! Great projects and so inspiring!! What type is snap “tool” are you using? Plastic snaps or metal. Be well….looking forward to seeing you in October. 😊
Yes, we are both breathing easier now.
I purchased a plastic snap kit. It has the “crimping” tool, an awl and multiple colors or snaps. I have enjoyed it, and have been putting snaps on everything!

The Mill Hill will look great in the wood frame that you bought online. Cardinals are such a beautiful bird! Happy to hear your husband is going good. I have a Lily (rat terrier) that allows me to share one side of the love seat with her. I understand exactly!! LOL I"m not sure about your beading case but they sell a small sheet of sticky stuff you can always reline you case with if it gets where it' isn't sticky any longer. I heard you can rinse off the sheet and it will be sticky again. Just a thought. I don't care for mystery boxes either. I want to know what I am buying because I might not like what they are sending. However if I did get one it would be Primrose Rose. Do you happen to know if the cutter will cut sticky board? You are so blessed to still have your husband. I miss mine everyday and it's going on 3 years.
Thanks for the tip about rinsing the bead case. I will give it a try. I think that the cutter will work on the sticky board, but I would be concerned about gumming up the blade and getting less use of it.

Oh what fantastic news, an answer to prayers for sure!! I know I have the circle cutter, but it is in a really good hiding spot! I will quit looking for it so it will show up. I started cross stitching again when I took care of my husband for a lengthy time. It is so portable and easy to pick up and put back down. My prayers continue for you both.
