In this episode I head down to Kudos Restoration to check out the progress of my Ferrari 360 re-paint. If you missed some of my videos last year, my 360 is now 20 years old and to celebrate this occasion, I’ve been putting it through a light restoration. The final stage of this has been to repaint the car in its original Rosso Corsa colour. There were a few signs of corrosion and repaint over the years and by doing a full bare metal paint job, it would give me a chance to truly understand the history of my car.

Looks great in the metal! Make sure to get it PPF'd after you get it painted.
I’d imagine you’ll be getting the car a clear wrap to protect your new paintwork? Unless your painters account for it you’d need to leave the paint for about 90 days to cure before wrapping.

While the paint is off I strongly recommend to get the inner wheel arches rolled. No danger of paint cracking right now.
This is why I watch Harry’s Garage and Tyrell’s Classic workshop bringing older cars back to their best. I personally find it more pleasurable watching old metal being fixed back to near factory fresh, or at the very least watching new technology restore classics to guarantee them a new lease of life. I know Sam has a forever Car in his head about this and that can change on a whim but good for him spending the money you’ll never get back most likely on the Ferrari. Didn’t even know he had a Fiat and I watch most clips and listen to BTG when Tony is on it, so shows you how much it figured in your life.
Please Sam in two or three months pick a blue sky dry day and take the Ferrari to Tony it’s either “ You’ve done well there mate - lovely ” or “ I know you love it but you gone and wasted good money there” 😁

I'm glad you've kept the Ferrari for so long, feels like it's part of the channel. A lot of CZcamsrs get into the business of changing cars every 3 months or every 3 weeks or whatever and I feel like their channels lack identity as a result. Not the case with you! Sure the Abarth and Porsche are gone but they never felt like a core part of the channel anyway. Keep up the good work!

When you watch the video, and suddenly realize these guys are based in your village, they do some really cool cars. Use the garage next door for MOT's ect, always look at what they ae working on if the doors are open.

Looking good love the Ferrari updates. Some people mentioning PPF but does that not ruin the paint feel, and need to be very careful who does it as well as after 2-3 years need replacing for £1000 not sure if good idea or not.

Interesting video, can you share with us Sam, what brand for whole set of paint that you use for the car. If i not mistaken original Ferrari use PPG brand.

I’m now thinking I should just get my 91 M5 painted and rust repair done this year. I want to own it for a long time, I should invest in it now so I can get many more years of enjoyment out of it.

Sam, when the car is done, are you going to get it PPF'd? I do believe you will, funds permitting, as it makes sense to keep the paint at its best for another 20 years. Hope it goes well.
What’s the story with the old Landrover behind the Defender?
I would replace the original crests with new ones but keep the old ones for sentimental value.
