How much of a difference is it? I get about 180fps bc I refuse to play on 1080p with lower settings just to get 240fps lol I want to keep game quality over frames
For me, I cap my fps at 140. With DX11, my frames were dropping as low as 90fps during high motion gameplay like flying, fighting, etc. After changing to DX12, it stays stable at 140 always. If you have a decent PC, definitely try it out!
MINE DROPS TO 5 FPS IN MENUS EVERYTIME FOR ALMOST 10 MIN IN DX 12 MODE. I STICKING WITH DX11. GPU IS RX 580. I SEARCHED UP THE FORUM BUT FOUND NO SOLUTION. ANY FIX CAN U SUGGEST FOR THAT. IT SHOULD SUPPOSEDLY DO THAT
EA App: From “My Collection”, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the Apex Legends tile and select “View Properties”. Add “-eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json” in the text box under “Advanced Launch Options”. Click “Save” and launch the game normally. Hope this helps! 😁
I've been playing Apex for years with a high end PC and I haven't heard about this setting until a few weeks ago! It helped me a lot and I'm sure others haven't heard of it either. I figured why not share?

That's an older GPU, it might not be able to handle DirectX12. If it runs worse, just use DX11
How do I do this with the EA launcher?
