I like how under all the attitude and tough gal vibe that Loona gives off Viv and the team now have shown us it's kind of social anxiety disguise. Loona is obviously and orphan and girl doesn't have friends, and probably pushes people away to avoid getting hurt again. Got a flash of her sweeter side in pilot when she gave a quick smirk when Blitz said she was family, and in this one she almost called him dad. So when she opens up it's super awkward because she doesn't really know how to express herself to people she likes or is attracted to.

Blitzo is definitely closer to an overly affectionate parent than a dog owner, though. Hellhounds might very well be adopted more like dogs than children, but Blitzo definitely doesn't act like he did it for that reason

The subtle part about it was that Moxxie in his own drunken way tells how no one knew they were demons. No one saw Blitzo and Millie and they thought Moxxie was a opossum so their is no way they'd get in trouble. Also thinking on it, everyone that's seen them either dies, thinks they're just weird people (the doctor that called them freaks) or in Moxxie's case thought they were ugly animals. Few actually thought they were real demons
