Alwyn Wall Band 1976 .Recording the Album the Prize in London Singer Composer - Alwyn Wall Bass Guitar - Tony Hudson Keyboards - Phil Holmes Drums - Nick Brotherwood Guitar - Norman Barratt
Thanks for your memories. These song were a big part of my early years as a Christian. Your music was a real blessing. God bless all of you for your hard work for God's and his people. Blessings
I saw this band live in CA--and I remember how great "That's Life" was live--really a great tune and they stretched and really rocked it out, which was rare back then. The LP version was great--but live, it was amazing!
Wow...what a treasure this oral history is! I write a blog on the greatest CCM albums of the 1970s and the blog has over 345,000 page views. I'm getting ready to write a post on The Prize, and the info contained in this video is invaluable as research for that blog post! The Prize was such a great album, totally underrated. Every song was a winner. Not a single skip-over song on the record.
I did not hear about that CD It must be a digital copy of the album because the original tapes were 3" and long gone sehr interessant Claudio gute information
Thanx for the commentary and the photos. I enjoyed it very much. Do you hear about the Japan CD reissue in 2003 of The Prize - Album? For example at the CROSS RHYTHMS Homepage they reviewed the album, but the CD is not not available. I seek the CD everywhere, but it seems lost.

Thanks Phil! I wore out my copy of this record. Nice to have a look under the bonnet!
