Daniel Briere is a true gem; how he has taken over as GM and is leading this team in the right direction and knows to be successful, he has a great leadership team behind him.
Danny B is in a tough spot and handled it admirably. I believe they knew this may come to fruition and planned for it , high draft picks on goalies . Getting Errison . They are a smart front office and I like the future amd the way this organization is headed .
Danny took the time to answer the questions to the best of his ability, and the fact that he laid down the answer concerning Carter Hart at the beginning of the presser was so important. The fact that the team under his watch, with the direction of John Tortorella and the coaching staff points. out that they are indeed going through with their rebuild system is very upfront and honest. I am not looking for them to make a trade or two to attempt to go into the playoffs because in all honesty they're not refined enough to be considered a Stanley Cup contender. One of the best things that Danny highlighted is that the team is not going through the long losing streaks they had endured in recent years, and that they have continued trying to win each game, even when they lose. They haven't given up on themselves, and I think the reason for that is the culture that John Totrorella has given this team. I'm also proud that they honoured Ed Snider, since he was the founder of this franchise, and he should never be forgotten.
