    If Michkov is here next season then I say they don't need to do anything else. If he is not here then I don't think they need to "speed it up" but it would be nice if they could sign a player that has experience on the power play. Not a top tier guy but someone decent.

      The big thing that's missing on this team is scoring. So not giving a long term extension to the most consistent guy on the roster and leading scorer for the team is wrong? That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a long while.

    • @pumpkinking5174
      @pumpkinking5174 Před 5 dny

      @@Murph_. So, you would sign TK to a long term deal, let's say 8 years with a no trade clause....because that's probably what he'll get...8 years at 8 mil per. Year one of that new contract will be TK's age 29 year. History shows those kind of contracts age very poorly. See Atkinson and Coots. Plus the salary cap implications of said contract. Scoring is not the biggest need for the Flyers. A first line center and first pair Dman are. TK could net valuable assets in a trade that would benefit the team long-term far more than his 25 goals a year. Chew on that genuis.

    Crazy to me how indifferent the KHL is to a player like Michkov, they usually worship that type of young star. But hey, their loss is our gain - he won't be lacking for attention when he does end up over here. *Question:* HB mentioned (so, it could be entirely imaginary) Flyers are still kicking on some of the Ottawa D-men especially Chychrun who I feel like always gets linked to us - say that is a goal, obviously he plays top 4 with Sanny, York, Drys. Seeler has the extension, not really going anywhere. But then you have ONE spot on the third pair for Zamula or Attard with Risto feeling like the odd-man-out based on his salary. But that also makes him hard to move. Is this ACTUALLY a situation that makes sense for us? Also funny because Eric Johnson felt like a good veteran presence that helped stabilize us, and in another situation I'd like to see him back - but in THIS situation ... what in the world are we doing with this defensive logjam?! Trade or not. I also formally request that you stop trying to trigger us with Marner trade suggestions, which are more evil each time they come up. 🤣

Flyers finally have realize u need European talent and there going nuts with Russian players. 20 picks next 2 drafts. Dont waste a season lets get this going. Jason I'm the guy on twitter who doesn't like Torts. He started to turn me off when he kept jerking players in and out and the younger ones who I wanted to see develop but then doesn't fire Rocky Thompson cause he's his buddy. There PP was so bad that 99% of the teams would have fired him and Thompson is terrible whereever he has been and before people say we'll Flyers talent we'll they freaking got 90pts so they must have sum talent. Thompson was with Vegas and Vegas had alot of talent and there PP was so bad. As soon as he was canned it improved so much. Do you think Flyers are in a spot yet to do that big move? I don't yet, I think we should wait another year until Atkinson is off books and a few dead contracts also come off. We gotta get the cap in a good spot with the players we want to build with. Again I believe that's not for my opinion is not this upcoming season but next and hopefully by then we can shed dead contracts, bad contracts , and players we just don't want and hopefully have a good foundation when Mitchov comes over and then we make a couple bigger moves.

      @Murph_. Před 10 dny

      No, he's really not. Leadership alone puts him TWO steps above every other 'dime a dozen' player. He's also a guy who can play anywhere in the lineup. Ain't no 'dime a dozen' guys that can do that. To me, he's like Coots. Coots never got a chance at the top 6, and so was only a defensive guy. Then he gets on a top line and has 76 points 2 straight seasons. Laughts really never got a chance at a top line spot, and I feel that, if he did, with a guy like Giroux or Voracek, he's be a regular 70 point guy also. I think Coots is a slightly better player, but Laughts isn't far behind. Give him the same chances as Coots, and he has similar numbers.
