With the exception of core knowledge that could adversely impact your livelihood and ability to support your family (I.e. trade secrets etc), I firmly believe down to my core that knowledge and successful business resources/systems are meant to be shared. The fact that Justin said “you could even steal this design and put your own logo on it” just made me so happy. There was no hesitation to offer other competitors the opportunity to use a resource JKR uses in house and that they’ve found to be the most effective. It just further shows that they’re in it for everyone in the industry and not just money and competitive superiority like this industry was in the past.
Stuff like that just makes me feel good and I love to see it.

Amazing pro-tip video Justin. We really appreciate all the tips and knowledge. Now I notice with some other breeders & how they prep the eggs prior to incubation. If you can explain to me or perhaps include it an explanation and differences in having eggs laying directly on the substrate versus having eggs sit on perhaps light Def users or easy hatch trays? Also why do some breeders incubate eggs the exact way they find them, stuck/bunched together and piled. Like Gavin from Ball2U says and believes...”How they lay is how they stay”! Thanks! 🤙🏽🙏🏽☝🏽

Hey Justin, I followed your how to about setting up eggs and I’m worried, since I checked my eggs just the other day and they seem slightly discolored on the bottom. I was thinking maybe since they’re setting in the vermiculite?! Enjoy the rest of your day
I thought that you had to keep them off the vermiculite or they would mold? That you had to use the light diffusers?
Easy hatch tray and water as the medium. Doesn't get any easier and less room for error.

Would it be ok if: the eggs were laid a couple days before you find them and they're stuck together really well. And some have the embryo slightly turned? Not sideways but just turned a little?
Hi, just checking if I understood it correctly, your egg box is completely air-tight without any holes, and you keep them that way until you hatch them, right? Also, what would I do if I see condensation forming on the seal? I see several other comments asking the same question, but for some reason I can't see your replies. Would be great if I can get these sorted out, as I plan to breed in the future(with a male that will be shipped overseas to Korea from you guys next year!). Thanks for all the great content! Hey Justin what temp do you incubate at?
Question, using a temp gun, when I check the temperature in my incubator it reads 90 degrees, the top of my egg box reeds 90 degrees but when I check the vermiculite area from the outside of the egg box it reeds 95 degrees, that's way too hot and makes me nervous, what temps do I go on?

I get when u say cover the eggs and do not open them till you see a pip. What if u start to see an egg go bad? What do u normally do?
I had a complete clutch of albino carpets roll around the female as the clutch was too large. Didn’t candle and just put eggs in incubator. 100% hatched

Yeah I seen David Levinson doing it with all his clutches when I was at his facility has great success with it was thinking about doing it this year myself.

I am hatching out my first clutch. Should I be concerned that there might not be enough oxygen in the incubator when they hatch? It is a mini-fridge I converted into an incubator.

Quick question. When using press and seal, do you have any concerns of condensation dripping off the PnS onto the eggs? I’ve always heard if the eggs get wet the will die. Do you believe that to be a myth? As your eggs are in direct contact with the wet substrate?
@@KINOVAReptiles thank you for the quick reply! I’m going to have to try your method. We are constantly wiping the water off the inside of the lids. Might try a bit less water as well.

You can use dawn dish soap to wash your snakes?
Yes you can! They don't need it except for extenuating circumstances like these, though.
First of all thank you I just got so scared I’m on yet comfortable enough to pull apart my eggs yet. But I got super worried I saw the yolk sack on my third clutch I thought the egg was dying
What is the reason for the light diffuser I see so many doing? Just had my first clutch, 13 eggs and set them up identical to this.
Some like them because they don't want the eggs sitting directly on the damp substrate, and also they can use pins and such to hold the eggs in place. We've tried them and didn't notice a difference so we just do it the old fashioned way. :)

Is it normal to lose a couple eggs? 2 eggs from my clutch died. The temps are at 89* the humidity looks good, I just re-candled the rest of the clutch and they look good. Is this something I should be worried about or does it happen?

It's not always easy to get a response from a credible source and not everything is answered in CZcams videos. I'm just starting out as bedroom breeder and now is a critical time for me because I've put so much in that a failed season would be devastating.

I finally got my first clutch this year but all the eggs were not sticky is there a reason for that
They are only sticky right after they are laid! If they have been sitting for a bit they are dry.

To remove the scent of the eggs so they will start back on food

Not necessarily but it doesn't hurt them in anyway. If they slithered through feces or something and you wanted to clean them you could wash them.
I'm assuming if you wash the female good she will be roaming and pushing trying to find eggs for awhile. Hoping because that's what mine is doing.
why aren't the females allowed to brood their eggs? Just asking as a curious beginner.
It's easier to control the environmental conditions of the eggs with artificial incubation. Although, maternal incubation is certainly possible!
My only question is, why completely cover them where there is no oxygen gettin in? Just asking don't bite my head off
Got it, was just a but confused considering in the wild they aren't sealed, only reason I asked. My last question, I promise. I see alot of breeders using egg crate, is that necessary, and Ive also seen numerous breeders put 2 small holes in the egg box, why do they do that?
