Here i talk about my impression and thoughts about this two tone yachtmaster beauty and why i chose this over the Root Beer.
If you would like to see the watch directly, feel free to skip to 3:30
Stunning watch! I own the 116622 blue dial and can’t say enough about it. I really believe the YM is the best line in the current Rolex catalog
I was in the same place as you with my Rolex. I'd set my heart on the Rootbeer. That was until I compared the YM and GMT side by side. I fell in love the YM. I have the sunburst chocolate dial. It has a warmth to it, although on reflection I really do like yours. I agree with you that they're not photogenic, and one has to see a YM in the flesh to fully appreciate just how beautiful they are. The two-tone does have mass to it. They're so much better than a Submariner.
Just bought mine today! Absolutely love it!
What I like from the Yacht-Master over the GMT CHNR is the case … which is more beautiful
The most underrated line is the Yachtmaster , I have bluesey , Batman, datejust 2, nothing beats the comfort on yachtmaster plus I think it looks great on the wrist, I always say I prefer Platinum over Paint haha
I bought one today, he is correct, in the flesh it is amazng, beautiful.
Congrats on the purchase!
I got the same watch. Love it!
Me too. It’s a beautiful watch and way underrated.
Congratulations on your latest purchase Randy. It’s a really beautiful watch indeed.
Thanks bro
Thank u for sharing ur insight! I was chosing between this & root beer too. 😁
Beautiful watch I have one in my small collection
Beautiful watch 👍👍👍I like the root beer dial also😊😊
I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of NKUWAN . Their timepieces are of exceptional quality.
Hi, can you please make an updated video of the watch and your personal review.
Just be even better with a rose gold crown
Beats me too. I thought all everose comes with a gold crown.
Absolute class!
legit don't understand why they made the screw down crown on a two-tone yacht master in stainless steel. Really weird decision by rolex
I'm used to it now, although if I ever get my hands on a gold crown, I'll get my watchmaker to install it.
Lovely watch, make sure you wear it.
Thanks! Yea I usually wear it when I'm dressed formally 😊
I have Yachtmaster Everose Oysterflex bracelet, I receive much pleasure from wearing the watch, I can use casual, or formal. Our watches ⌚️ will outlive us both. Enjoy using as a watch, my take on it anyway. 🙏😎
My watch!
Hi
would it be possible for you to do a video update about your Yacht-Master 40 with the platinum bezel? I'm always curious about how the bezel and case wear over time. Most of the video on yt is either brand new by the dealer or just people who never wear them.
I'll find some time to take some videos but your concerns are valid. The platinum bezel, being highly polished is a scratch magnet. Even wiping with the wrong cloth will leave hairline scratches that's there when you look real close. That however can be polished off but you need to find a very skilled person to do so because I've seen many "polished" platinum bezel in the used market lose its sharp edge (the raised numerals edge is supposed to be sharp and precise, not rounded). What you should really take care of is not to bump into the bezel because dings cannot be fixed. You can however have it replaced at the service centre for a fee. They'll take back the original bezel as a trade in and you pay the difference.
@@randychuah wow thanks for taking time to reply info about the bezel, now Ik what is like to own this beauty and the experience of the bezel. Those info are truly helpful. I will probably try them on at the ad when it arrived. It is Such a beautiful watch that hard to resist!
It's really beautiful!
What about just checking if it is 18k gold or platinum?
Sorry I don't get your question?
@@randychuah hi, just check the gold (or platinum) parts of the watch are real. Fake watches cannot add 18K gold or platinum, too expensive for them.
I gave this watch up as I am rooting for Rootbeer. Not sure if I made the right choice. ;(
Rootbeer is an equally nice watch, with a different vibe. The RB will be more sporty while the YM will be more classy
@@randychuah If Rolex ever made a GMT with the YM case, I'd have one in an instant. That would be something very special.
hi there! i've been looking to purchase a YM40 as well. I had initially wanted the Slate dial one, but I chanced upon your video (excellent showcase btw) and I have to say, I am massively tempted to get this two tone instead. Would just like to ask a couple questions. I understand you mentioned its a more dressy watch, but just for the sake of it, if I wanted to wear this daily with more casual attire (collared Ts and jeans maybe), would it look out of place? Is the everose subtle or does it absolutely just pop?
*Sorry if this comment is a little long
Style is subjective. I'd say it's still fine if your casual is more of a smart casual, golfing style attire kind. But if you meant torn out jeans and oversized shirts then probably not
Why Not many ppl reviewing this watch. They always review other colour. Is it so unpopular compare to other colour ?
What’s a good price for 2021/2022 of this watch?
I wish I could have one of those but I can't I'm poor and can't have one but I can still have a plastic watch ⌚😭
May I know how many percent of import duty for this watch? Any other unexpected cost behind? Appreciated for the info. Thanks.
Typically, import duty for watches is 5% from invoice value. Unexpected in terms of importing nothing else. Just make sure your seller is trustworthy
Thanks 🙏
man you spent over 3mins talking without anything happening, just talk while opening the box
What is the verdict on this yachtmaster after owning it for a few months?
Still loving it! But I don't wear it as much as my Starbucks since I only wear it on more formal occasions. The highly polished surfaces is a scratch magnet though but nothing a good polish can't remove
No mister Bond. I expect you to wear a two tone Yacht Master. Mu-ha-ha-haa!
🤪
👍💯❤️
keep dreaming best combination yacht master 40mm is the chocolate dial perfect with Everose gold you have no idea what your taking about there you go just put into words for you
I've had this watch with the chocolate dial for a year now, and I love it. You have to hold one in your hands to fully appreciate just how beautiful it is.
Overall I agree but have red text on black dial is a subtle touch that one appreciates given it’s seen so rarely
There is no “best” on any dial dude it’s all personal preference. Chocolate dial white dial gold dial blah blah. It’s all about what an individual prefers, you Rolex fanboy.
Hahaha I'm not laughing AT a butthurt bitter & jealous twonk, I'm laughing TOWARDS a butthurt bitter & jealous twonk.
@@tinoavetisyan583 A voice of reason on YT. Quelle surprise! There's always a moron or two attempting to make people feel bad about their purchases.
Here’s how to get an upright crown. Don’t tighten too much. Going near water anytime soon. No. And by no you mean never. Right? So just stop short of full tension. Think outside the box dude. And get out of that underground toilet next time you do a review man.
Specialist subject: the bleeding obvious!
@@ph8077 back to your grief hole
Rootbeer is better
What do you think so, share your thoughts please 😊
@@randychuah the yachtMaster looks to feminine while the rootbeer has the maxi case and more of a manly watch plus it’s a GMT which kicks ass overt yachty
@@randychuah and I’m guessing the main reason for not getting the rootbeer was the price it is now on the grey and will be £28-£30k by the end of the year fact!
@@avinii who gives a shit what people thinks thats the problem get what you like clearly you prefer GMT but trying to kid yourself with a yachtmaster
@@avinii you have clearly never owned a rootbeer as they are the most stunning TT on the market
Crown should be gold too
My thoughts too. Not sure why rolex decided otherwise
