    Just ordered enyaq 85x. Your videos meant i was visiting the Skoda dealers knowing more about the cars than the sales people. Such great detailed information and you definitely contributed to my decision to order.

    The enyaq Matrix leds are awesome ! It was the feature that surprised me the most.

      I'm considering a Enyaq 85 on the Motability scheme however, I've had a Kona Ultimate for the last 3 years and the new replacement is much better than previous one. It has everything the Enyaq Should have ie. HuD, Panoramic
      Sunroof, and Heat Pump. It doesn't have the capacity in the back, which is an important factor, the same driving experience or the range. The Kona has a much lower AP too. My heart says Enyaq but my brain says Kona. 😮

    You forgot to mention the incredible matrix lights on the Skoda Enyaq 80x. Which are very good in the dark on dark roads. And the very quick response to masking out other vehicles, both when it comes to cars driving the same way in front - and for cars coming driving from the opposite direction. Also the very fast removal of the masked areas at the same moment you pass the other vehicle. There are a lot of dark country roads here on the west coast of Norway, especially now in the winter. Enyaq's Matrix lights are by far the best lights I've driven, and in a completely different league than the same feature for the new Tesla Model Y LR AWD. Much better, and much faster response.

      I concur that the lights are amazingly good. Probably the best of the car.

    Hi, Matthias, I like very much your balance of criticism and positivity. The design is among the best, the car does not look like something Darth Vader dragged in, a problem with too many other EVs. The mechanics of the car is of high quality: low noise level in different speeds; very good seat comfort (aside the drivers knee interfering with the sharp edge of the physical buttons frame and the jumpy back passenger seat making a some people car sick); safe driving experience; very good matrix head lights (aside the poor masking for the elevated driver position in most trucks); baggage capacity; simply clever features such as storage for charging cables; acceptable number of visits to the service shop. This together with features general to most EVs such as cheap overnight charging (depending on availability, of course); power reserves for fast acceleration when needed; remote and programmed heating/cooling not dependant of Webasto or cords. If Skoda (or the dealer) turned out willing to compensate for the broken promises (that is, compensate for the reduced second hand value) and by that rebuild the broken trust I would buy the car again in a blink.

    Thank you Matthias for all your videos. I would agree with all on all the reasons that you still love your Enyaq they really are a great car but as with all cars there is always room for improvement. I am on my second Enyaq now my first was a IV60 and now I have a the vRS Coupe and it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

    We're coming up on two years and 50k km of driving with our Enyaq 80, still loving it as a spacious family car (4 persons & a dog). I love the exterior and interior designs (w/ the EcoSuite leather upholstery, very nice), the HUD, the panorama roof, the matrix lights, the practical family features (e.g. the back seat curtains and USB charging for kids ;). Easily the most comfortable, even luxurious car that we've ever had. Much better than e.g. the VW Id.4 which we also tested back in the day. It may not be the fastest EV out there, but it's plenty good enough for driving around here in Finland. :) Even the lack of battery preheating, while being a really stupidly annoying missing feature in the Finnish winter conditions, doesn't REALLY bother us, since we rarely travel long distances in the winter anyway, and when we do, the slow charging just gives us good leisurely lunch breaks. 😄

    • @matteoleonardiTN
      @matteoleonardiTN Před 7 měsíci

      I do fully agree with you,
      Except for battery preheating 😅

    • @mikashki
      @mikashki Před 7 měsíci

      @@matteoleonardiTN to be sure, I would REALLY want to have preheating too, but for now with our current driving patterns we can live without it as well. If we had long distance trips regularly in the winter time, I'd probably switch to some other car that does have it...

    It was the rear storage which sold me. I'm a musician and everything I need fits in the rear without folding down the rear seat.
    There are so many SUVs which are neither sporting nor utility.

    I support your feeling about the Enyaq and thanks for your engagement to give tips and tricks, to get the most out of the Skoda. Your comments on software is also a signal to Skoda to take us customer serious and provide the updated version when it gets released. I am still on a version 3.0 and concern about Skoda policy.. that may influence my car selection next time, as Skoda do not care about customer service.

    You echo my sentiments entirely Mateus. I have found the 3.2 SW useful over year and much enhanced by the Powerpass Map which guides us to charge place options B or C or… without planning effort and to such an extent that confidence in long journeys levels with the ICE brigade. Furthermore the Enyaq Satnav system has become another trusted feature with clear diversions offered in the event of road or motorway closures or delays - the stationary traffic indications on the infotainment map are brilliantly up to date. Thanks for all your contributions to our community, you are very special!

    The things I love about my iV89 Sportline - for me as a driver, it's a comfy car to drive long distances, you can see well in all directions, with not much hard work you can get the book range even in winter, at 5C - and in the Summer 430 mile range is entirely possible. I also like the pre-heating and pre-cooling. The fact it has a decent width middle rear seat so my three teenagers can sit comfortably even on longer drives - and with plenty of leg and foot room. And.. the biggest one, with a family of 5... the boot size. I've had several Volvos, I've sadly had to move away from them as the boots have gotten smaller and smaller - my old 740 estate, you could drop the rear seats, remove the headboard from a single divan bed, put it on top of the mattress, and slide it fully into the back of the car, shut the tailgate and drive away - now, they are tiny. I love that I can drive the Enyaq in snow, even and especially uphill - rear wheel drive, in creep mode does crazy things, especially if you reduce tyre pressure a little, even on UK summer tyres. I could go on.. I just wish that software wasn't a headache, and that the mood lighting didn't keep on switching itself on every time I get out of the car! The lane assist is the first thing to be switched off though - every time.. because it has tried to kill me three times already. Skoda is not alone in this, all makes of car I have driven (about 8 different manufacturers so far) have this same problem in the same situations). The only surprise I had was how twitchy it was for a heavy car in high winds (I was out on high moorland roads last Tuesday - winds up to 90mph) To be fair any car would have been having problems, and the police closed the road behind me very soon after I passed.

    Honest video again dear Matthias.👍 Skoda built an absolutely wonderful car. I love the design language and the way it drives. Last week I made a trip to Austria in my Enyaq iV60 of over 900km and back. It indeed is a nice care to travel in. So I fully agree (again) with you. The only negative thing about the car itself is that it is huge. Great looks, but annoying when you park side by side.
    The big problem of the Enyaq is indeed the lousy CARIAD software that Skoda must use by their parent company VAG.

    I love my Enyaq too, coming up to a year with it now. But I find I've drifted away from the community side (enyaqforums in the UK) now that I'm not waiting for delivery anymore (15 months for me!) and it isn't new either!
    Thanks for the video!

    I've enjoyed your videos and look forward to future videos. The negativity in your last videos is purely born from the frustrations of lousy software hampering what is a really good car. I have an Enyaq VRS on order due at the end of March, and I'm really looking forward to getting it. I dont get the video that says it's boring to look at, I think it is a smart, handsome looking car. Especially compared to the areo jelly moulds it's competing against. Im coming from an Octavia VRS IV, who is a great car and also failed by crap software. I've lived with that and still enjoy it, so see no reason why I won't enjoy my Enyaq when it arrives. Keep up the good work, Mattius, your videos rock.

    Great video, once again. I tend to focus on the good things of our Enyaq, and live with the not so good things. Btw, can't really find any not so good things to say about our car .... having SW version 3.2, I don't know if I miss anything :-) Anyway, we are very happy for our Enyaq, and have never looked back. Ohh, one thing; the rear window gets very dirty , very fast. That's bad .. :-)

    Really enjoyed this video since I think You nailed my own personal opinion this time. I think Your latest videos concerning software issues were a bit too negative, making me, a new 80X owner a bit dissappointed and actually a bit worried. You reach a lot of customers and probably have a rather big impact factor on the market. Personally I have softwareversion 3.7 and are looking forward to you upcoming video on this version. For me it works very good.
    All the other aspects of the car I totally agree with. Soooo nice and easy to drive, and practical, and nice looking, and..... etcetera. Lets hope the building quality will last for many hears. A bit early to judge that I presume!

    I agree with your views Mateus, I’ve had my 80x since November 2021 and I enjoy driving it. My lease finishes this year and my next car will be another Enyaq - question is 85x SportLine, L&K or vRS?
    The software doesn’t really concern me, it’s not perfect but most of the cars I’ve owned didn’t come with any form of software. As long as I can listen to music I’m happy, I like the built in SatNav allied to the PowerPass app.
    The car does everything I want of it, is comfortable to drive, so is right for me.
    If here is a negative, it’s a number of the forums here in the U.K. People get annoyed because something doesn’t seem to work, 2 minutes with the manual would explain the operation. Also, they buy a car without reading the specifications, if you want a HUD then tick the box.

    Off topic question:
    I live in the UK and My Enyaq IV 80 Sportline 2021 was only equipped with the standard 50kw charging when originally purchased. (I’ve purchased the car used)
    Does anyone know if this limit can be lifted by Skoda if I asked them and paid the £440 or so the original cost was to get it fitted

    I can choose a new company car and I'm convinced on getting an Enyaq Coupe 85, but I can either get the MAX pack or the heat pump, I live in Belgium would the heatpump make a big difference? Because I find the crystal grill really cool and the hud is a nice option too.

  • @enyaq007
    @enyaq007 Před 7 měsíci

    I have ordered 85X sports plus with heat pump, I am in Scotland, do you think the heat pump is a good idea?? I love your videos , they are great! The only thing i will be missing is HUD display as its not standard on the sports version , i currently have it on my id3 max which i will miss but i think i will love the enyaq!

    • @countrymanb2109
      @countrymanb2109 Před 4 měsíci

      I'm considering the Enyaq the other option is a Kona with a heat pump as standard. I've just watched a Enyaq review where it said that in the future there maybe a software update to activate the heat pump which is actually built-in to the standard Enyaq! IMHO a heat pump should be standard as it improves charging efficiency and reduces carbon emissions which is the whole point electric vehicles - and from safety perspective a heads up display should be standard too. If Skoda included both as standard they would have no competition and clean up. Other have them as standard and are cheaper, so I don't belcost is the issue. As more new cars come to market with a more comprehensive standard of equipment Skoda may have to rethink their marketing strategy-unless they are just plain stubborn.

  • @skykid3
    @skykid3 Před 7 měsíci

    Is the head up display standard or is it an optional extra?
