    You are very concise, Rachel! Just a simple question though, when exactly did you apply for your Express Entry profile? You mentioned in one of your videos that you were taking a one-year program. Were you able to finish your program in less than a year thus giving you a headstart toward the 1520 hours of accumulated work experience requirement? If no, how were you able to qualify for the EE application if you have just the exact year remaining for PGWP before it expires and still working for the 1520-hr requirement? Sorry for these questions, I am currently applying proactively and can’t decide between a 2-yr or a 1-yr program because I’m afraid I might not get the work experience requirement. Thank you!

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  Před 3 lety +2

      So I got a job after program completion and submitted a PGWP right after. There’s a policy where you are allowed to work full-time or waiting for a decision on your post graduate work permit. So I did that then I got approved for a 1 year PGWP. So I got a little over 1 year of work experience in a skilled job that help me qualify for EE. My circumstances were very lucky and timing also had a huge factor in getting an invitation to apply.
      So if I were you, if finances are not an issue - pursue a longer program. At least you get to maximize the three-year PGWP if you enroll in a school that offers PGWP-eligible programs. 😊👍 hope that answers your question

    Secondly, I hope you can see my questions in the sea of people commenting on your videos 🤞😭 so for your route you applied for Student Visa and Express Entry? Will that make your application double? Why didnt you just have express entry as it may guarantee PR rather than waiting 2-3 years while you are on student visa?

    • @rrdancel

      Hi, if your CRS score falls behind the cut off score, then you won’t receive an invitation to apply for PR but your profile remains active in the pool. It does not mean it got “declined”, it just means you’ll stay in the pool until your score meets or exceeds the cut-off👍

      Hi Arianna,
      I am not sure as to your first question. What do you mean by program? Is this an immigration program or a program at an educational institution that you are asking about?
      Honestly, 1 year study and 1 year PGWP is not enough. The CRS cut-off score is getting higher, meaning that its getting more competitive to receive an ITA for PR. So, its best that you receive the maximum amount of points you can get under the EE in order to stay competitive. Please watch my other videos on why 1 year study and 1 year PGWP is not a good option. Hope that helps. 😊

      Is it a NOC B/A/0 job? If yes, did you work in Canada for it? If yes but you didn’t work in Canada, then it’s probably gonna fall under FSW category.
      If it’s not a NOC B/A/0 - it’s not a skilled job and you will not qualify for EE.

    Hello! Thank you for this info! Just a question, required ba yung IELTS? Or may case na it won’t be needed?

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  Před 3 lety +1

      It depends on the admission requirements of your chosen program and school.
      IELTS is not required for Study Permit Application. What is required is proof of a Letter of Acceptance from your chosen school. But most schools require you to take IELTS before issuing that LOA. But if you manage to get an LOA without taking IELTS, then you can proceed with applying for a Study Permit.
      In short, IRCC doesn’t require IELTS. It requires the LOA. LOA is issued by the school.
      Before schools can issue an LOA, you will need to submit their admission requirements. Some schools require IELTS for program Entry, some do not.

      Applying for Work permit does not generally require IELTS. It’s not stated in IRCC’s requirements. BUT if your chosen employers requests one before hiring you, you will need to take IELTS.
      Coming to Canada as a worker requires LMIA which can be challenging tho. But if you have a prospect, try to apply for LMIA asap as processing times are currently at 31 weeks 😳

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  Před 3 lety

      Hi Daryl,
      You would have to meet the minimum eligibility requirement for Express Entry before applying. If you have met the minimum entry requirement, next step is to figure out your CRS score. If your CRS score is high enough, maybe consider launching your application. Please seek advice from an immigration lawyer before proceeding with either. It may give you more answers on the best route to take. Hope that helps. 😊😊👍

      It’s possible, depending on whether you qualify for the Federal Skilled Workers Program and a draw happened in this category where you met or exceeded the cutoff score.

      Hi Romario! Glad to see you planning ahead. Here’s a breakdown of the scores depending on the level of education and work experience you aim to achieve in Canada. www.immigration.ca/inc/uploads/2016/12/Comprehensive-Ranking-System-Point-Grid.pdf
      You can add that to your current score and see whether or not it exceeds the current cutoff score. As of late, it’s been hovering at 469-475.
      But also take note that the scores may change later on depending on the demand for Canadian immigration, so it’s always best to have more than enough.
