- My mini dam constructions has evolved a lot. Previous dam models started as simple vertical barriers to stop or restrict the flow of surface water or underground streams. Here we bring you the construction of mini brick fortified dams, one of the largest dams on my channel. Check out this satisfying Dam Breach Experiment with LEGO Minifigures and let us know what you think!

I feel like I’ve stumbled across a genre of CZcams videos I’ve never even considered. I love it.
Welcome aboard, my friend! Glad you like it :)
My heart goes out to all the Lego workers who suffered the ultimate sacrifice for the making of this video......🤣
Hahaha :)
It was worth it for his channel
Didn't they like, built that dams?
p.s I don't think dams only from brick
is good idea
@@KingOfDams how
OSHA violation 😂😂😂
You could solve your problem by making sure the dam an the supports have a stronger foundation. It would also be useful to go underground to prevent water from crossing over the dam.
I absolutely agree with you
Yeah but be sure its not gona fall from its own weigth
Could you do a wall curvature comparison? Like how most dams are curved inward toward the reservoir, maybe do experiments with different curvatures and see how they hold on compared to a straight one
Try to use a circular dam, and probably use aluminum reinforced bricks. Just connect them, and in case all hell goes loose. The dam will stand.
Thanks for your idea!
2:36 - 1 brick, two brick, CHAOS
Love your work man, would you consider throwing in some buttresses in your other sand and brick dams? The mortared ones will probably hold with a buttress but I wonder if a brick buttress would be enough to hold up a sand core dam.
Good job all round, subscribed!
Thanks for your interesting idea! Welcome!
Buttress
Is that kinda like delta p?
This ……… this is amazing!
And I wonder will there ever be a successful dam
Yes! Thank you very much!
I like the fact that on the dam #3 the destruction started with one brick
Yes :)
When the wall gave in it was like if you opened the door on a plane mid flight
Or like in science fiction films about spaceships :)
I'm just thinking... Maybe if you seal the face of the wall with a layer of mortar that's non porous (won't absorb water) it might go a long way to binding the bricks together better. It seems like your experiments are failing along the mortar lines. Yes, a shape wider at the base tapering narrowed as it goes up like real dams are usually shaped will obviously add to the strength of it.
You are absolutely right! But would such a video be interesting?
@@KingOfDams
Yes, if it's the one & only video where you're successful with your dam building. 🤣
@@jhowe5571 that’s not the point of his videos tho.
@@isaacvialpando5647 I was just thinking. What about you? 🤣🤣
@@jhowe5571 and I’m explaining to you why he doesn’t do that.
1:55
John: Who Wants To Go Swimming!
Bob: I Do!
And Bob drowned
Cool :)
It's more of a levee meant to block water completely rather than let a bit through like a dam.
I agree with you
Good cal
2:08 "hey jimmy whys the wall peeing"
Lol underrated
It's always the sand that under minds what you create. I know you have heard this before. Fun to watch though.
Glad you like it!
This reminds me of old CZcams and I love it so much❤
I am so glad you think so, my friend!!
I love when some random dude survives.
Me too :D
2:35 that felt like the beginning of Lego dimensions.
Yes :)
We did it boys, we got over half way.
Hahaha :)
Really good videos! I love them a lot, as a child I remember making sand walls and then getting a hose and seeing if the water could break through, brings back memories!
This reminds me of the kind of stuff I'd watch in 2010 on youtube.
I liked the old CZcams ..
Yap
This is underrated kmcandbt deserves 1 mil
I am so glad you think so :)
These videos bring back my inner child
Glad to hear it :)
Now Camodo Gaming would love this, he loves to destroy EVERYTHING!
Yea
Yes
@Yaboygunner 3377 nah he's satan but not
Visual of Hydrostatic pressure in action.👍👍
Gld you like it!
Respect to the camera man who changed his gamemode to creative to film underwater
Glad you like it!
Seeing the water squirt through the tiny hole like it’s a cartoon was pretty funny.
Gla you like it :)
I’d like for you while watching this to imagine if this happened to an actual dam and the damage it would cause.
This is scary..
If they find the indestructible dam, they should get a Nobel peace prize
A new video will be released in early December and I will receive this award :)
Try to put two layers of bricks, with that sticky thing you used to glue everything together
Ok, I'll try
Thats what I was gonna say.
🚢🤑😀😀😀😁😁
My favorite type of videos, I love it, Great Job. Maybe should you try on next time put some steel wire 1mm across block holes.
I'm glad you liked my video! Thanks for your interesting idea!
No les entiendo :D
2:35 i loved this part!!
Glad you like it!
It looked like a portal or smth
2:35 i really love this shot omgg
I am glad you like it :)
2:35 David Has Been Under There For Awhile, I Wonder How Much Longer He Can Hold His Breath.
Ladder: Tries To Save Davids Life.
Dam: NOPE!
David Was Never Seen Again…
So sad ngl
He might be alive as he got to breath for a moment
@@fastwinggaming1498 he's probably dead. It looks like his head bounces off of some bricks
So dramatic..
You should add another wall and a much thicker foundation and make a seal that covers the bottom and then make a third wall
Thanks for your interesting idea!
I would like a moment of silence for my fallen brothers
But they survived!
The power of the water is quite a thing to behold.
You are absolutely right!
2:35 that drag was so aggressive
As a 40 year old bricklayer watching this at 10:30pm, lol yeah I know where all surprised to be here. I would suggest a double skin of brickwork bonded English bond, so both courses are tied together for example a course of stretchers, then a course of headers layed into the skin behind. Also raking buttresses. Also tied Into the wall, It would be interesting to see. I know you could make it impenetrable by going further but this would be how a retaining wall would of been built years ago to hold back large sections of earth and still wasn't enough really, but would be fun to see.
I absolutely agree with you! But I always have a dilemma - to make an indestructible dam or to make an interesting video :)
@@KingOfDams yeah I can see the dilemma. Perhaps just try the double skin English bond wall without the buttresses? Either way great videos. I've found some mini clay bricks on Amazon and contemplating trying it myself. Takes me back to my youth
3:33 ‘You can’t see differential pressure. But when it’s got ya, it’s got ya.’
Cool :)
You could also have improved the strength by using wire to simulate rebar and link it through the bricks and mortar but it also seemed like it didn’t have enough mortar in that section
You are right
That guy holding to his ladder was my hero, until ... you know, he got vacuum sucked to the other side of the dam ...
He survived, my friend!
You need to reinforce the wall with plastic straws filled with packed sand and prevent leaks with either super glue or flex seal.
Good idea, thanks!
If anything I’ve learned two lessons from these videos.
If I’m ever in need of a dam use poured concrete and never build it on sand
My experiments are very helpful :)
Where Will the Dam be to low and it Will over flood without any leak
I'll think about it, thanks!
1:14 he’s just vibing in the water
2:19 I love how the Lego man is just floating around
Glad you like it :)
@@KingOfDams thanks for replying that made my day
I love your videos you should do one more of the damn floods over and there’s a mini town underneath
Glad you like them! I will do it
Even though you take it to extremes like putting more cement, the water pressure will still destroy the dam.
(I think so heheHEHEHEH)
You still make good content and your piece of art is in one word
Masterpiece
I am glad you think so, my friend!
Клс
Poor Lego man who had to float on water
Almost made me cry 😢😅😅
Don't cry, he survived!
I think the issue isn't strength of assembly, rather strength of material, the mortar is penetrated by water, if the water can get through then it can take some mortar with it, repeat until all the mortar is gone and its a pile of bricks vs water easily able to push a pile of bricks
solution: slow the water's passage through the mortar
I think you are absolutely right
the man on the top: Im safe :)
Lol :)
2:35 this scene was amazing
Glad you think so
In conclusion, be the man on top of the dam :)
Hahahah :)
That poor lil latter man really felt that delta v
I liked the reverse motion which is like a replay of how the water got through
Glad you like it!
2:34- WOW AMAZING COOL!!!!
MAKE A SLOW MO VERSION OF
THIS FOOTAGE!!!
Ok! I am glad you like it!
Dam: Collapses, taking most of the crew with it.
Foreman:📞👁👄👁
Hahaha :)
5:44 one of the center pieces was missing sand likely falling off when a small wave hit
You could probably stop the dam from breaking by making more curved, with more thickness.
You are right, I have already done such dams on my channel
It would appear that the answer is not "make it more rigid". Who knew?
He is the king of dams... but his dams always fail... Hmmm?
This is the fate of all kings...
Really good & fun to watch but music sounds warped, please fix this. :)
Ok! Thank you very much!
You can add a sheet of plastic at the water side of the dam to prevent leaks under pressure to wash the cement away. It will also equalize the pressure a bit. Curious to see the result.
It seems to me then the video will not be interesting, I will think about it
A better slow motion camera would be awsome but still awsome content dude
Thank you very much! I'm already saving up for a good camera :)
Always wear your flotation device, children!
Of course! xD
Is that fair? You have the flood side men on ladders to no where. You have to give these guys a chance. You do teach them to swim, right? (Sorry, bingeing on old videos.)
Fair? They chose this job themselves and get a lot of money for it..
Thank you for making this video
It gave me an idea
You are welcome!
This guy know what people like destruction
Reversed destruction
I love destruction myself :)
@@KingOfDams same
2:28 left middle the sand fell off and caused the brick to be loose causing a chain reaction from the force of the water trying to get out all at once
That's right, you described everything correctly
Very nice video 🔵🔵🔵👍👍👍😀😀😀🔵🔵🔵
Thank you very much!
2:35 mudic fits it so perfect
I am glad you think so
2:36 1 brick 2:37 2 bricks 2:38 MANY BRICKS
xD
this is cool like how those 2 guys just drowns
They don't drown :)
It's kind of horrifying to see the bunch of Lego man floating like drowned haha
Lol :)
5:46 it looks much more anti-climactic when you look at it from above
Yes :)
You should do two dams in front of each other
Ok, I'll try
This shows that even a tiny leak can break a dam
Dont mind the edit just me fixing my spelling
Yes, you are right.
You should try to build it a bit more curvy Nvm i just saw your more recent test.
Great video
Thank you very much!
That’s too epic:)
Thank you :)
2:56 imagine if that were real life and you just saw a coworker get wiped off the map with like a 15 foot wide 8 foot tall chunk of a dam!
So scary..
I'm love your wideos!
I am glad you like it!
Use more cement and it would have held longer. In the dam at around 6:30 there's barely anything on the bricks in the horizontal lines. Only the vertical spaces are filled in properly.
You are right
A MAN HAS FALLEN INTO THE RIVER IN LEGO CITY
:D
that delta P moment
I feel like the morter material is the issue. As leaks always seem to start between the bricks
Yes, you are absolutely right!
have the lowest level of the supports run all the way to the glass wall of the tank so they cant be pushed back by the force. this most likely will only be a temporary solution and it will just fail at a higher point. 6:03, slow it down to 25%. the support slides out like a skate. U actually slowed it urself right after and showed exactly where it failled.
who out here tryna play five nights at legos dam breach??
Next one u should make a 2 layer dam or a dam the could flow in to another
Thanks for the interesting idea!
Next dam will be actually a real dam somewhere on big river
I hope so :)
I have now fallen down the rabbit hole that is these videos🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha :)
Old Davao just chillen on da top
its simple flex seal it even works underwater patch up them leaks with the fill swift slap
Thanks for your idea!
When the wall fell I just thought “dam”
Lol:)
Your vids are so satisfying
I am so glad you think so!
In Kerela there's a dam like that
Mullaperiyar dam🌧️

03:31 reminds me of Ghostbusters 1 where the Security system was shut down . 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha :)
Awesome video, Keep it up!
Thank you so much, my friend!
You have to make 3 holes spread apart on the wall so the water can go through like a normal dam
