    “The great Brickmanian flood”
    Brickmania City, July 17, 2023.
It was a normal summer day for the small, yet bustling city of Brickmania. The city has a population 27k, but it heavily increases in the summer because of people staying for the summer though. Most people were surprised when they saw that they couldn’t go to the dam reservoir which is the most popular swimming place in town. It was blocked of by authorities and was fully drained.
    1:34 pm
The trouble first starts when the workers notice the sand getting a little wet, they new this was a sign of a breach but they hoped that the levees that they put in place to stop any major leak would save them. They did not.
    1:52 pm
The water begins to flow in at rapid speeds, overwhelming the workers and causes confusion and making it hard for them to get up the dam wall. The first confirmed casualty of the flood is John L. Brooks, aged 25, at 0:37. The second at 0:54 who was in shock and didn’t have time to react.
    3:14 pm
The water got into the interior of the dam causing a large crack to form and eventually fall, confirming the death of 13 people. This is when alarms are sounded.
    3:18 pm
The crack gets even larger, causing Rebecca Lyman, Aged 53 to fall and drown.
    3:24 pm/ 4:41
The water breaches the dam through a hold formed by the water. This immediately sweeps away multiple people along with debris flowing after them, this kills around 26 people. The water reaches a building carrying it away long with all the people in it ( 4:58 ).
    3:39 pm
The water sweeps through the town drowning and sweeping people up along the way.
    3:47 pm
The water rushes over the dam.
    4:05 pm
As the water rises, the casualties do to.
At 7:06 authorities come to collect survivors, by the time the disaster is over, there are 567 confirmed dead, along with 863 injured.
R.I.P to all killed in the flood.
Remorse to the families that lost their friends, daughters, sons, mothers, fathers and grandparents. 🫡🫡🫡🫡

"I still remember that day, that horrible, dreadful day...
It was like any other day, the city was bustling with activity, people were talking, shopping, minding their own business without a care in the world.
And why should they? The Mayor promised that the dam would be a great tourism spot, the landmark of Brickmania City, that it would bring fortune to the locals and basically make the city greater.
Little did we knew, the Mayor was cutting corners in almost every one of his projects.
I was enjoying my day-off, relaxing on the roof of the building closest to the dam, everything was great, temperature was nice for ice cream, music was heard around the block, all around I could hear the joy of the people, I could see the couples conversing down there, it was making me more impatient, for my wife was returning from a business trip and was already on route home.
Then I heard a scream, the supervisors who were inspecting the interior of the dam dissapeared in the blink of an eye, almost like magic.
Then, I saw with horror as the water started rising even more, I screamed with all my strenght to the ones on the ground, but the music was so loud, if anyone heard me they probably ignored me.
When the water broke the dam... it was like everything went in slow motion.
I saw the current sweep the people violently, throwing them like ragdolls and to my sheer terror, the water displaced a building, so those who were holding unto said building for safety were doomed.
I closed my eyes, I couldn't dare to see anything else, but even if you try to blind yourself from something, you can still hear.
And the screams, there were tons of them... children, women, men... all of them asking for help...
But the worse part of that? Is the silence that followed.
In the silence I dared to watch... and I saw that the reason the silence started is because everyone was dead.
I was one of the few lucky who survived, my wife's car was found under the flood, I never recovered her body.
To this day, I asked myself what did those innocent people do to deserve this horrible fate, a fate that could had been prevented, were it not for the greediness of the Mayor."

@@franciscoleolopez6050 man, I’m so sorry for your loss. It must be so hard for you to live through all of this. The survivors guilt must be insane.
Do you keep in contact with the other survivors? Because I heard most of them moved away and only about 200 live within the general area. And the recent death of the mayor has been very suspicious because they said it was due to old age but he was only 56 when he died.

@@franciscoleolopez6050 Luckily, as can be observed clearly, the population of Legoland consists of excellent swimmers, both backstroke and breaststroke . There was one poor individual encased in deep sand, he could be reanimated. Apart from that even the houses stayed upright, even whilst being dislocated. Fire hazard is a much, much more prominent hazard in the depicted community, resulting in huge amounts of highly toxic black smoke. I do foresee this from my youthfully experiments on Lego blocks.

This is a very good representation as to how dams fail too. From watching the water absorbing into the ground and destabilizing it from the inside, creating a channel for the water to surmount the dam
Also gives humans some ideas where to start to help reinforce the dam to keep if from failing, as well as reinforcing the idea that when one is caught in any sort of flood, pull a Kenobi and claim the high ground.

You’d go into cardiac arrest before brain damage because the fumes would definitely displace the oxygen and your diaphragm would give out. I had another job where I accidentally pumped chlorine into a carboy (15 gallon jug) of hydrochloric acid! It basically makes mustard gas 😬 it literally smoked out of the top hole I was pumping the hose to because of the chemical reaction and it puffed right in my face as soon as the chlorine made contact. When I breathed in that little itty bitty bit on accident I almost passed out right there. It was so hard to hit the shut off valve on the hose and get my bearings straight. chemicals are hardcore! The child in me is laughing right now! As a kid, I built houses out of pranks of wood we had for fire kindling.
Make small towns and villages, took my sister's doll house furniture and got all my action figures together to create a scenario.
We had this huge metal bucket that I filled up and just splashed down on my town, I don't know why but was enamoured by how everything collapsed and washed away carried by the water. 😆 it was also fun to try and find all my toys and props later on where the water left it.

I have been informed through the news that all individuals managed to survive the devastating tsunami. In light of this distressing event, I wish to extend my heartfelt love and care to those who have been impacted by this natural disaster. My thoughts are with the affected communities as they navigate through these challenging times. May they find strength, support, and solace in the face of adversity, and may the assistance and aid provided by various organizations and individuals aid in their recovery and rehabilitation efforts. Let us stand together in unity and compassion during this difficult period. ❤️❤️
