Josh reaction when Cam was throwing😭
“That’s the wrong Ash, Jessie!” is an iconic moment
Bad breaking moment
No hate to Farfa - he's a very entertaining streamer. I tune into his stream on Twitch from time to time. I do think that your commentary before he came onto the stream was much better for a serious event like this though. Gives us better insight into the lines of play instead of getting side tracked by chatter. Again, no disrespect to Farfa.
It's a fair way to put it. Farfa isn't a serious or competitive steamer and he can't really comment as such.
Commentary works like this. It's always a person that has personality or does the talking for casuals plus the pro. There is a difference between a commentator and an annotator, the combo works if they are working in pairs. If you put 2 Uber intelligent people in a panel then it would be boring, a person that appeals to casuals matter a lot. Farfa plus MBT will turn off pros, Joshua and Jessie on the other hand will turn the casuals away. This is a healthy balance not only for both sides but humor as well. Contrast is very good for podcasts, commentary and interviews.
It's pretty universal to have a play-by-play and a color commentator
Facts! Farfa just talks too much shit
Only Jesse kotton can accidentally 2-0 a top player
3:53:23 I was like "That looks like dzeeff" and then he spoke.
Holy shesh. I didnt know that i need Josh live commentary. But i want more! The roasts were also on point!
Careful with Cam. He will slow down to put the time in his favor.
First match was a match of all time
NO ONE likes to be forced to play a deck that is $1,000
Dharc summon puppet does happen in my locals
The more i think about game 2 he i believe had a branded red + lost line that protects the gimmick play
Great vid
Although there were def some misplays, you can’t be too harsh to the players especially right after a new format. There’s def going to be new interactions you’re not going to be familiar with.
1:21:08 I am confused
Kotton puts in work every format. Not just here and there but every format.
Dang it, Josh. You didnt have to say "Yes" when Farfa asked if you wanted to stream together 🫤
Good stream, nonetheless!
okay so the explanation at the very start now makes sense why Josh himself wasnt there, so instead of it being a match based on the best of the best players, its inviting past past NA&SA champs - okay still was fun, but explains why no EU player was there at all.
Cam went on to win YCS Raleigh lol
I have a very "Get off my lawn" approach when Konami tries to force me to play anything but salads
Can someone explain how promethean stops nib?
Promethean locks you into fire, and that's why you can't nib your opp.
3:43:30 thats the scary thing about the big lore deck, almost all card does not lock you. lets just hope diabellstar does not go too wild on her journey and make a mistake that is original sinful spoil snake eye.
To be honest even if ocg was released alongside tcg, players in the tcg innovate in less percentage than the ocg. In every format you can track a couple ocg meta spice but here we would only copy a spice of a 1st place winner.
Still due to the fact that the tcg players are spread among many more different culture countries, the few that do innovate in the tcg cover somewhat that sortage by figuring out amazing tech ideas.
And yet they limited shavara to 1? A budget as deck that finally had its support become good and here we are.
If there are so many continuous spells through Snake-Eyes right now, is there any possibility to use Hamon successfully?
Depends on your definition of "successfully". Resolve the card? Yes. Brick like mad? Yes.
@@joshmountain9705 I am looking for counters to Snake-Eyes and I think that converting your cards into continuous spells is a problem, so the first thing that came into my mind to "free" your cards was Hamon, but that does not mean, that I think Hamon is the great counter, but maybe there is a card or engine that can deal with this issue, and I am trying to start a little brain storming here. :P
It looks like my commentary did not come through. What I said was basically that I am not bound to Hamon, but I am looking for cards that can "free" these spells like e. g. Hamon does and I want to start a little Brainstorming about it. :-)
The cards that free them are flamberge and the field spell
@@joshmountain9705 these are both successfull uses of hamon! it's what it does best.
Billy Brake is a such a enthusiastic dude. I got to take a picture and talk to him at San Diego Comic Con and beat him (tho he was using a loaner prerelease sneakpeak DUNE Manadium deck with like rev synchron) but hey Idc I’ll brag I technically beat Billy Brake lol.
Farfa's laughing-and-shitcalling commentary kinda ruined this for me. Thanks for the upload though Josh!
Juan already won with looks no way was he gonna win the game as well
Jesse is the epitome of not showering before going to locals
I think the real problem is, that this is an elite tournament and Konami could easily give them boundary conditions to at least be well groomed. It is less the shower, but how dishevelled some appearances are. But I guess that does not work if the staff has the same problem. I don't know what is wrong in at least shaving the beard that it looks clean. Some are really positive examples there, but some are just negative ones. These people are the face of the community, Konami should care even more, in my opinion. This is not against anyone specifically, but overall that is what came to my eye. That would open the game to more people.
The stench gives tactical advantage
I don't want to be rude but I thought so too. No matter what body type, you look so much better being fresh and clean. If I were him, knowing there's thousends of people watching this, I would've put in more effort.
Why is jesse so hot
Bros the definition of haven’t washed since birth
Imagine the cheese
Jesse was looking healthier wtf happened. If he’s not careful he’ll be dead in 5 years
it's genuinely flabbergasting just how bad jesse looks. seriously, he looks like he doesn't groom himself...in any aspect. at all. we've got so many players that at the very least look like they shower and try not to look like untamed apes and yet his is the face we see all the time
Dudes face looks like the texture for dirt in minecraft
Why is this is something in yugi pro games and not in more intense e-sports, is it that these players don't get compensated enough to rest in good hotels and feel relaxed to take care of themselves?
uh...what? what tf are you talking about, there are people out there with actually taxing jobs who have to feed families and still can go get some acutane, shave in the morning, get a haircut and at least try to dress well. do you think being a pro yugi player is like being a rockstar on tour 24/7? jesse's the only one to blame here, be fr@@zagranzon2464
Can someone save Jesses live? He needs help, he needs a diet and a shower. He looks like he will pass away in a few years wenn nobody cares for him....
2:20:00 no respect for my region, what else is new 🫤
