Her lifespan as an airliner may be coming to an end in the near future, but she will always be the Queen of the Skies to me.... Beautiful aircraft.
That plane belongs in the sky. Beautiful engineering! I could watch those engines smoothly work for hours. Mesmerizing.
At least the the 747 is still soaring after 50 years. Still a wonderful jetliner.
Production stopped in 2023. And now top commercial aircraft deliverer is Airbus.
1:03 best sound ever
Cant lie abou´t that :)
I see people wondering why the leading edge slats were extended for so long. Reason is that this was a heavy, fully loaded takeoff that had a high stall speed because of all the extra weight of people, their luggage and the fuel needed to fly them through the air. The plane simply needed to gather enough airspeed so that the wings had sufficient lift to keep the plane climbing into the increasingly thin air on ascent. Once the aircraft passed stall speed--the leading edge slats retracted. By the way, they function completely automatically as the flight computer is fed airspeed data from the pitot tubes and altimeter data. They'll extend by themselves as well during the final descent to lower the stall speed needed for a clean and safe decent to the ground. Gorgeous footage by the way.
On Airbuses they stow by themselves but on Boeings they don't, its all done manually
One the best take off videos I have seen on CZcams 👌👌
The most majestic aircraft ever made, magnificent with none to compare.🏆
Boeing 747: Hey, let's go flyin' …
Boeing 737 Max: I can't! I'm still grounded!
Beautiful takeoff. I was wondering when the flaps/ slats were going to go up? Seemed like it was taking awhile. Very impressed with the flight attendant speaking three languages with ease.
Friend: “What kind of music do you listen to?”
Me: “Well...”
I think the more amazing part is the flight attendant speaking multiple languages.
What amazes me is that those forward flaps don’t just blow right off!?!?
I love how you can hear those engines better when those slats get out of the way. Those engines have come a long way, can the engineering get even better? They are huge!
Yeah the sounds just booms out even loder with out the slats
Beautiful stuff!
Was thinking the amazing things we see that 200 years ago we never imagined,
What will we see 200 years on?
Stunning video of the most iconic aircraft ever built.
I love watching aerodynamics at work
Just imagine a sports car alongside setting off at the same time and maybe getting to 60/80mph just ahead of this massive heavily laden jet but then being overtaken on the runway by 90mph before being left trailing as the jet takes off at 150+mph. Incredible.
Great video! So many cool things to see, like the vortices coming off the engine nacelle VCD's (Vortex Control Devices) and the low pressure vapor kicking in over the top of the wing. I was watching the leading edge Krueger Flaps the whole time. I was surprised how long the pilot left them deployed, and also that they had no buffet or vibration at all. I'm always amazed when they retract that they don't entirely destroy the lift on the wing in transition, but it seems to go very smoothly! What a fantastic airplane (very biased opinion! LOL!).
Almost all kind of vortex effects displayed here, very nice.
A380 is bigger but 747 still King of Airline history.
01:55 that coanda effect
SHE is bored on the ground...She wants to FLY!! Her Majesty.
She is made to fly so why should she saty on the fground ; )
Great vid,,I'd flown on a 747 Wardair plane LHR to Calgary,,back then us youngsters were allowed in the cockpit,,think it was 1978,,pure heaven,,,
Love this plane! You can see how the wing starts bending upwards as the speed of the aircraft increases!
(First Comment :-)
Woow, that was amazing. So fun to see how much is happening around the wing. Lift of wing tip when plane gets into speed is amazing. Vortexes are also super cool!
The title doesn't lie, it's the best ever b747-8 wing view
It makes me really happy that you agree with the title :)
This was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end.
my favorite plane 747♥
Wonder why they took to long to remove flaps
This one is now one of my favorite videos 👍... from the noise, the takeoff, the view of the city... the overall feel, great clip!!!
Jeez: amazing sound, what a thrill!!! This must be the most superb contemporary mega-jet liner! Thanks!
Absolutely breathtaking
I might not be that big into modern airliners as I am into the older ones, but I have to admit I will always marvel at the new engines, and how they seem to PUSH the aircraft through the air, compared to say, the JT9D of the 747-100 and 200, where it feels the engines are trying to pull the aircraft through the air with great effort put into it. Both have a certain charm to them.
Please make the Ultimate Cockpit movie B747-8 by Lufthansa! Please!!
I don’t see how anyone could downvote this. Get over yourselves.
The fastest takeoff speed in its class.
That truly is one of the best 747 Wing videos I have seen. Been in the aviation field for many decades. Former Boeing as well. Seen a lot, but that was nice. Well done. Bravo Zulu!
Such a powerful takeoff
That roar sounded like a 777
I like Buenos Aires and Germany still have a strong bond
Of course! What a nice country I hope the bond will continue for a long time!
Excellent video, great camera work, and what a majestic aircraft, the mighty Boeing 747, the greatest aircraft ever made.
Listening test:
Which type of engine?
1)GE-90
2)GEnX
God do I love that spool up sound.
Just lovely!
Magnificent take off and view.. the greatest airliner of all time..
Nice to hear that! What is your favourite about this plane ?
Very nice! I always enjoy seeing the wings flex while gradually taking up the weight of the aircraft as it speeds up on the runway and at rotation..
Very fantastic and wonderful video, thank for sharing 🌺🌺🌺Lufthansa 👍👍👍🌸🌸🌸☀️☀️☀️
Excellent video, very clear and stable. The vortex views were also very good.
Este capitán vale vale mas que un 747.con tantos idiomas que explica.verdaderamente impresionanti.
Outstanding jet 747-8 best performance
He speaks 3 languages,nice
LOVE the wing and vortex action and seeing the flaps retract. Nice video overall!
The Queen of the Skies will always be my favourite ❤
I love it as well one of the best planes ever
So clean and blemish free..seems like the aircraft just rolls out from the boeing factory yesterday :-)
Absolutely too cool! Love it. Wish could take one up.
I love the sound of those quiter engines (747-400's still have a unique sound) the glossiness of the wings, and the motion of the vortices over the wing!
Wow that plane is going FAST
Wow the airflow is real. Brilliant video.
I love this sound!
Fully Agree... that was awesome !!!
A unicorn aircraft (748 PAX) and wonderful sounds. Thank you for this.
Very thirsty engines, gulp, gulp, humm, yumm. Superb video. 🙏

Now we can pretend that the 747 has the GE90s. Sounds like it.
Amazing ! 😊👍👏👏👏👏👏
The flow of air above the wing, must be smooth and laminar!
Nice video!!!! Shared on my FB page "Boeing 747 The Queen of the Skies"!!!!

Very Nice Takeoff Video of a 747! Thanks for the Upload! R.K. 2/9/2021.

Great Clip
Wooooow, nice one!
Beautiful Airplane…Great Airline!
Awesome!
Imagine the wake turbulence off this heavy girl.
Nice nice nice!
The engines sound remember me 787
wonderful
NOTHING matches the mighty 47.
Very nice!!
What seat were you in?
Excellent video footage. Why did the forward wing slats took so long before retracting?
Beautiful, is it my impression or the outboard engine points slightly inwards than the inboard one?
Nice sound!
Cool, very interesting.
