  • Will the 2024 F-150 Lightning FLASH save Ford Motor Company when it comes to EVs? Ford has an all new trim level for 2024 Lightning called the FLASH. These trucks start at $69,995. This trim sits in between the XLT and the Lariat. For updates you will notice a slightly different grille, Fenders, and more! For 2025 Ford is adapting the Tesla chargers but for now, there is an adapter. This truck has Blue Cruise which is a game changer! Also we share a pro-tip to help with charging faster. Come into your screen and select the charging station you are going to. Once you select go, the truck will pre-condition the battery to get it ready to charge.

A f150 xlt 4x4 5.0 starts at 59 with 0 options, the lightning flash starts at 67 and has way more standard options so it's not really a bad deal.

@@smiller225 Plus the Lightning makes almost twice the HP and torque of that XLT (0-60 MPH in 4 sec) while costing 5X less to operate around town. And it can power electric tools, or power most of your home during an outage. I like my Lightning better than all my previous V8 pickups.

I went from an 02 Tacoma to a Pro, so keep that in mind. I bought a Pro standard range with the 100k mile warranty for $51k after tax and license. I think you can get them even cheaper now. The range is about the same as my old Tacoma. The pro has more features than I could imagine. If you are going from an old car, you don’t need more than the pro offers. I tow a 12 ft cargo trailer, and can get about 170 miles out of the truck while towing it. It’s not bad if you’re towing a somewhat light trailer. I am very happy with my purchase. I also bought the pro charger and installed it. I can get a zero to full charge in about 8 hours from my house.

    -no sunroof
    -fixed rear glass
    -the huge frunk (underrated IMO)
    What I’m fine with:
    -the range
What I wish they would change:
    -I’d prefer a column shifter
-LFP batteries so I know it will last 10+ years and I don’t have to worry about fire.
-Wish the price was a bit lower but I’m also realistic on this… a lot of people want a 40k super truck which isn’t realistic.

Not sure if you like Ram trucks but check out the new Ramcharger. If Ford could make something like that but more affordable it would be a big hit. For 90% of use cases you don't need more than 250mi of battery range. An integrated gas generator can fill in the gaps to solve the towing range problem.

I currently own a 22 Lightning and that would be a big issue today with the charging infrastructure. There's more on the road today than there were last year at this same time and were going on vacation next week. I'm not looking foreword to the charging experience during this time because most of the us will be on vacation also and guess what.....More ev's trying to charge and basically the same amount of chargers as last year. I do have my Tesla adapter so I have the option to use those, but pretty much every ev manufacturer will have access to those also in the coming months. To top that off, Ford nor apple has routing to these tesla chargers to automatically route you to them, so you have to manually add them. Ford needs to get with the program and update your maps ( I can't use charge assist while driving so that really doesn't help) and also if the charging stats are on the 24's why haven't the previous vehicles been updated with these features? Are ya'll listening Ford? I'm thinking Tesla should have charged all the auto makers that wanted to get on their network a fee to help expand the network at a faster pace since they can do it like no other charging company.

Why don’t you talk about real range numbers. Many ppl have put their real life experience! You will never get what they claim. Especially if it’s cold, towing, and dogging it. (That seems fair) but cold?? Seriously? You will get 75 if all those conditions are met. Face it. ALL EV ARE NOT BETTER! They have a use. But being a truck or a trip vehicle, is not one of them.

I read an article just the other day where they talked to 100 people that owned EVs and 75° said they'd never own one again and go back to gas. There's a local Ford dealer where I live and they've got 20 Mustang and Lightning vehicles in stock and they haven't sold a one in 2 months. Salesman tell me they just don't have people asking about them plus i rarely see no matter what make or model any on the road. It's alot of hype and BS. As far as hands free driving it would take a split second for things to go south real quick before you'd have time to react and more than likely not have a good outcome.

I have a Tesla Model 3 with a heat pump. When it drops down to 15-20 degrees, the range is terrible. I’m estimating less than half the advertised range. I’m going to be selling it next year. Until they figure out that issue, I’m not sure I’ll buy another EV.

America is such a ridiculous country. Having to preface a video about an electronic vehicle by saying it isn't political in nature. Ofcourse it isn't, it's about an electric truck. But somehow America has turned an alternate energy source for vehicles into a political debate.

For the love of everything holy! It’s spelled Buc-ees, but Pronounced Bucky’s You were standing right next to Bucky the Beaver in the video. Every time you walk into the store they loudly and proudly say “Welcome to Buc-ees (Bucky’s).” And if the store employees are pronouncing it the same way you are then someone needs to call corporate on them!!!😂😂😂
