Just to add to all the great points made in the video, if you wanted to have a mirrored chrome effect, say the Silver Surfer for example, instead of having a gloss black base, put the graphite down on metallic blue with a gloss varnish. You'll be amazed. It'll be like a chrome bumper.
I'll definitely try that out.

What type of metallic blue paint? and can i use a gloss clear over the paint then the powder?

Two things:
1. After the first dry buff add a couple drops of water on the dirty cotton piece to add and EXTRA shine.
And
2. Use alclad aqua clear gloss ALC 600 to coat any chrome without changing the reflective integrity as well as creates a thin protective gloss coat. The liquid in the bottle looks like milk but don’t let that scare you. Just remember to not shake the bottle and use it n your air brush but as you use it clean the airbrush out with alcohol after a few mins of use because it will dry up HARD in your needle and the hole ⏸️ 😂 so using alcohol will soften it before it cures and wash it out before reuse.

Hello master! Incredible work. Looks amazing. I have one question, how do you deal with the seams in the places of gluing?
I usually fill them with wood filler, resin, or some type of putty then sand it down.
This stuff looks amazing...are there any issues using it long term? Like would the oils from fingers corrode it or would it come off if you touch it too much? Do you know if there's a way to protect it without losing the sheen?
So far no issues but I'm sure that if you touch it a lot, the oils from your fingers can cause problems over time.
I've seen a video, where the guy prep his print with a grey clear coat finish, and then apply graphit powder. The result is amazing too!

i wonder if you had a lighter base color and then clear coated it, if it would bring out a lighter color. is this something you tried? fantastic video always love that you share your knowledge and techniques
Might be something I try.
I've tried metal finishes on a Mandalorian model armour and it took two/ three tries as every time I used clear over it, it dulled it down. The down side to NOT having anything over it is you cannot touch it or it lifts off with the oils in your skin.
This is true. It's a tricky medium to work with
The clear coat would be near forschte hair, cause you Create black chrome, pretty neat
What did you use for the base gloss paint?
I used just a gloss black from Vallejo.
I wonder if it would also darken if you were to spray transparent paints over it?
I still think it would interact with the graphite in the same way but I might try it and see
