Yes! Finally, actually flavored Russian voice lines instead of the wooden direct translations of the English ones. I lost it when infantry low key swears back with a "Na svyazi nah--" x))
One thing people are going to learn the hard way like in closed beta(And they only really learned towards the end of that month long beta) is just how insanely strong mortars are. Not ballistic missiles, not howitzers(Though they are both useful and have their place). Mortars. In infantry heavy play like this they make an ENORMOUS difference with their fast firing rate and ability to promptly smoke stuff off or force people out of cover.
Even just one mortar and you could have easily marched a lot of those engineer squads into actual CQB(Being in the same building as an enemy) and would have dealt WAY more damage with them while suffering fewer casualties. People hugely underestimate mortars and smoke with infantry, I was regularly going 3-4 positive on k/d with that wombo combo and some micro.

@@mees9704 Kinda, yeah, but BA artillery controls are bit more friendly to doing crazier fire missions IMO (For instance, it takes some of the micro out of doing stuff like creeping barrages). The importance is still the same though, like in wargame, what separates the experienced players from the inexperienced is definitely the use of support weapons like mortars.
@@shadow7988 i only recently learned how to use smoke in wargame, and sneaking armor into forests never was more fun. The other player doesn't want to clear it out because, well, it is a surprise box now. Could be a t-72, could be 40 infantry with bmp-2s or other nasty stuff
I like the dynamic troop spawning in this game. Warno missed the opportunity to do airdropping.

Closed beta player here, what I really like in the game - unit variety and customization, and immersion (sound and graphical effects), features, like laser designation, multiple squads in transport etc. Great game, looking forward for open beta and the game itself :)

I'm not interested in playing MP so I'll tune in watching videos. But this game is day 1 purchase probably, enjoyed demo mission and World in Conflict mixed with WARNO/Wargame hope there is decent skirmish with loads of maps for us SP guys.
Also... Jesus Christ above the sound design and voice over is sooo damn good. Explosions and shots, engines of planes, artillery is amazing!
What i hope for is community being able to mod in custom campaigns

I think a cool feature would be if you capture an enemy pilot you could interrogate them for intel on a key position of the map.

Having not played this yet, it confuses me. Some of these games AA seems to dominate from anywhere across the map. Other matches, it seems defunct and short range. Gonna have a lot to learn on the 31st
I could be wrong but i remember planes having multiple altitudes so maybe its that? Certain AA has longer range at depending on aircrafts altitude?
aircraft can stick to low altitudes to break line of sight with SAMs. SAMs cant shoot what they cant see
also not every SAM has same range
there are manpads, which have low range but are carried by infantry (or strela/luchnik/sosna vehicle, in ru case)
and AAA has little range, but melts any aircraft getting in range
Some AA units have a radar for long range detection but you have to disable it to escape enemy SEAD missiles
That's really just the players not being consistent.
The extremely long range AA you've seen are likely S-300s and Patriots.
In this video, Saucy basically doesn't use long range SAMs, planes, or SEAD, so you don't really get to see any of that.

I think Support deck with infantry is OP, because The Support is Hard to counter if You can see it, it is not really big scale like Warno not yet
mortars and SAMs with infantry is stupid strong in the right hands, from my experience in closed beta. When infantry are actually getting fire support and smoke from the mortars, it basically forces the enemy team to rely on stuff like airstrikes to dislodge stubborn and hidden infantry, which costs them a lot more resources and leaves them open to getting hard countered by AA.
this game reminds me world in conflict and it's super cool! sorry to say that, but wargame era has come to end by release broken arrow.

sending units one by one without support and then acting surprised when they die :D
this is the thing with broken arrow . you get punished hardly if you do something like that but in Warno its easy because unites are fast and infantry doesnt have range . scout cars with machine guns also cant harvest easily an exposed squad of infantry . here if you get in the line of fire of anything with a machine gun your infantry is gone

+999 on immersion already. They just need to minimize the size of the Unit icons.
Don't get me wrong, I am excited for this game. But I wish the scale of battle was bigger. Instead of individual squads and vehicles doing things, I'd like to see platoons and companies doing things. I would have liked if the availability of units went up and prices went down. Just my personal take.
yeah but that way you are zoomed out into space and it breaks immersion. there is a reason world in conflict was huge. its due to the smaller scale and immersion. you get to enjoy the show from up close and get personal.

I was hoping people couldn't zoom out THAT much, so much for the world in conflict feel of being up close in battle if everyone just zooms out for advantage sake.
It just seems like 1 Russian atgm will take out USA light vehicles but Russian light vehicles will tank 2-3 American atgms….
I'm still waiting for someone to make a game like this but with fixed roles for every player like in World in Conflict.
I just can't get with the UI in this game maybe I'm just used to Eugen games but damn it looks ugly for me.

When did I say it looks unfinished? Please do not misquote me. It will likely not change much and the entire aesthetic of the game is included in my comment. The units, smoke trails, fx, and UI all look ugly to me nothing to do with how finished they are@@user-pe8yi9uh7d

Why warno is better, i am just curious and i am not mean. I played a lot of wargame but warno seems to me be worse than wargame and broken arrow. I didnt play warno thaugh and played only demo of broken arrow
