    Located at Bhadraj in the western region of Mussorie, Bhadraj Temple is a quaint temple dedicated to Lord Bal Bhadra (also known as Balram), brother of Sri Krishna. Bhadraj Temple is situated at the hilltop and the air and the atmosphere of the place feels calm and peaceful.
    The start of the Bhadraj Hill trek is at Library End. The streets around Library End have lovely old Victorian buildings. The trek from Library End to Cloud End Hotel is five and a half kilometres and from there to Bhadraj Temple is another seven and a half kilometres. From Library End, take the road that goes on the left and upwards. This road is diagonally opposite to The Mall road. To ensure you’re on the right track, ask a local person for the road to Hathipaon.
    Bhadraj temple is dedicated to Lord Bal Bhadra, brother of Lord Krishna. This temple is situated atop a hill and offers a splendid view of the Doon Valley, Chakrata ranges and the Jaunsar Bawar area of Himalayas. Every year Bhadraj temple organizes a fair from 15th to 17th of August which attracts thousands of devotees who seek blessings from Lord Bhadraj. The devotees offer milk and butter to the idol of the deity.
    Bhadraj Temple has a rich historical and mythological significance. The temple is dedicated to Lord Bal Bhadra, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, and his elder brother, Lord Balarama. According to local legends, it is believed that this was the place where Lord Bal Bhadra meditated for several years. The temple has been a center of devotion and spirituality for centuries.
    The temple was constructed in the dwapar yug after the great Mahabharat war .
