This was a good tutorial. Thank for step by step. My teacher skips the algebra steps because she assumes we remember that algebra. She never explains how she gets from one step to another. Again, great tutorial!

I wish you did some examples for cofunction identities, because I dont know how to do them. I understood everything up to that point. for example " csc 4pie/9 = _____ ? " I cant do that. I can turn csc into 1/sinx , but thats as far as i go.

It's fun to say trigonometric.
The second example seems like it would have been easier to have just added 2sin^2x to both sides and gotten cos^2x-sin^2x+2sin^2x=1-2sin^2x+2sin^2x. This simplifies to cos^2x+sin^2x=1, the pythagorean identity.
Csc^2 x (1 -cos^2x) = 1 ?
Yes, as csc^2x is really 1/sinx and (1-cos^2x) is realy sinx, the sinx's will cancel and you will be left with 1.
how come your reciprocal identities is so different in the other youtube videos pertaining to trig identities and how come that also in our textbook in trigonometry that sin really is sin=1/csc cos=1/sec and tan=1/cot ? really confusing here, are there 8 reciprocal identities? because i do remember you saying that theres no identities that deals with Sin x AND COS (By the Way you said that at 6:37,while in our in trigo, There's only Three Given Reciprocal identities which is the one that i said to you and in the other videos that i come upon gives the reciprocal identities that in my textbook shows, my question is are there 8 reci identities?

There are only 3 reciprocal identities, as shown in this video. The other five identities are Pythagorean Identities and Tangent and Cotangent Identities. The reciprocal identities that I show in this video are identical to those in your book, sin x = 1/ csc x is the same as csc x = 1/sin x. Just use multiplication and division to move the two values around. What's important is that you understand how they relate to each other in the expression. So to answer your question, no, there are only three reciprocal identities. This video shows some of the other common trig identities that you will come across soon or that you may have already come across. Thanks for watching!
The question tanxcosx=sinx, could you have divided both sides by cosx to get
tanx=sins/cosx
Then have tanx=tanx??
