Napoleon on This, pygmy twilight, cheepnis, son of orange county arguably greatest live vocal performances in zappa back catalogue, talented band, ike Willis also had a fabulous tone,(outside now)👌
Jesus, this is fucking amazing. Definitely the best incarnation of Zappa’s band, in my opinion, and that’s saying a lot given how each and every one of his bands was unbelievably good.
O VOCAL DESSE NEGÃO É DO CACETE, TEM TUDO A VER COM O SOM AO VIVO DE ZAPPA. COM UM POUCO DE COMÉDIA, PITADAS DE IMPROVISO, INTERPRETAÇÃO E CARAS E BOCAS. PERFEITO.
@@GreatMooglyGoogly The first Zappa album I purchased in 1975 after being introduced to the Flo & Eddie Mothers. Quite a bit different, but an amazing album and I have to say my favorite as well.
KilledBeeStudio Bit of a late reply, but this recording was the basis of the version released on One Size Fits All in 1975, obviously with some overdubs, a different mix and an early fade out. The unchanged version is available on the recently released A Token Of His Extreme Soundtrack :)
The Dub Room Special contains part of this mixed in with a performance from Halloween 1981, and A Token Of His Extreme (available officially on CD and DVD, if you see it on vinyl that's a bootleg) has the whole thing.
Bravo! Zappa with the band of likeminded musicians sounds fresh, intriguing, innovative today and always. Brilliant!
Napoleon enjoys every second on stage
Napolean Murphy Brock is the coolest. So good.
OMG, and Ruth on the duck call at the end. Awesome.
This line-up! The best ever
Even better with Ralph Humphrey and Bruce Fowler playing with them as well
100%
So special, and the camera work caught how tight that band plays while having improv. It must have been magical to have seen this line-up live.
I have, 6 times.

Brilliant! Thank you for sharing this masterful performance.
My favourite incarnation of the mother's playing a song from my favourite album.

it's far more better with this superior finale grande which the studio version lacks of.
