Floor unofficially became the first metal Disney princess
I thought it would be Tim Curry.
Disney occurred the rights to The Rocky Horror Picture Show years ago.
So Dr Frank N Furter should technically be a Disney Princess.
@@douglascampbell9809 Disney also bought the rights to all 20th Century Fox television shows, including M*A*S*H, Therefore, Klinger is a Disney Princess too.
Technically speaking, Elsa was not really a Disney princess. She's one of the few (if not the first) Disney queens.
@@n5iln Klinger!!! I love that character. Mash still is one of my favorite shows.
@@StergiosMekras I stand corrected, metal Disney queen it is
By Christmas there will be millions of 6 year old girls screaming “DAD! PLEASE STOP PLAYING LET IT GO!”
Floor has that effect, ehh?
@@TheCharismaticVoice, of course. I’ve listened to this a couple of dozen times since she released it. Not counting all of the reactions I’ve watched.
"DAAAAD! Just... Let it go!"
If Disney ever does an animated musical movie about a Valkyrie they better know who to call 😉
the mental picture of the nightwish army in line with a bunch of random kids to see a new Disney movie with Floor as a valkyrie makes me giggle just a little bit.
Disney tried to include the Valkyries in Fantasia back in the day. Using Wagner's music as one might expect. (Ride of the Valkyries) Unfortunately, it did not work out.
After their space movie Black Hole 1979 , Disney really have not taken any risks , so they would take some Micky mouse club singers , Aguilera or Britney or maybe put Justin in drag ... they did use Saara Aalto in Star Wars to make up a lingo to the movie , shes from Finland too , like Nightwish .
@@milton1448 Who thinks Floor should play the Female THOR and not Natalie Portman???
@@markgladstone6588 I've seen Floor driving fence posts with a 20 pound mallet, I think she's worthy...
Just think. Floor put out a cover of Heart's Alone this weekend.
every song Floor sings is a vocal clinic.
Actually Heart covered it too, it was originally from i-Ten (Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly) from their 1983 album Take a Cold Look
that is brilliant as well!
You think this was good. Alone is vocal gymnastics gold medal standard .Floor showcasing what she is capable of .You need to get it out a bit quicker than Frozen

Elizabeth: "It's getting more christmassy."
Me: "The Christmatic Voice."
Awesome. I like it. :)
Headcannon rebranding for the month.
You should check out "How's the heart" from the Human Nature album of Nightwish. There is both the album version and an acoustic version with Floor and Troy. It's a beautiful song and it's really interesting because Floor looks like a gymnast, so much versatility since the lyrics are extremely difficult to sing. Thumbs up so that Elizabeth sees this comment :)
Both of these are excellent. Nightwish and Floor always come through. =-)
@@garywinters4636 absolutely. The acoustic version is a perfect example of "less is more". However, also the studio version is great, in particular I love the last part of the song, where the mix of the voices of Floor, Marco and Troy is simply perfect.
Floor: "Do you wanna build a snowman?"
Freya: "Mooom... no singing."
Did Floor really name her daughter after a Norse god? That woman is metal lol.
@@Sibula Yes and yes but I don't think it's that uncommon. I also don't remember if I got the spelling right.
@@Sibula well given she married the drummer of Sabaton who is from Sweden and they live there, not so far fetched given in Sweden they do have their Viking roots too
@@galadballcrusher8182 Oh, that would make sense. Freja is a pretty common Swedish name.
To be fair, Freja is 3 years old. In a few years time she'll likely start seeing Floor's singing in a different light. 😉
Wait until she finds out what her mom means to the world. No pressure. lol
Two windmills were talking to each other. One turns to the other and says "What's your favorite kind of music?" The other replies "Actually, I'm a big metal fan!"
Hope you’ll react to her new Alone cover as well. It’s even better than this one.
Sorry my friend, but you cannot say one Floor song is better than another Floor song. You can say Floor is singing this song now, that should suffice. I hated this song until Floor sang it now I like it.
@@jamescutler8055 He can say whatever he wants.
@@jamescutler8055 I
I agree on you.
Both covers are spectacular in their own ways, Floors brilliance is shown in the way she approaches each one..
@@mickoldbear3008 Indeed so!
Floor is one of these singers that can sing words out of a dictionary and will still be awesome =D
Floor Jansen, Mike Mills, and Tommy Karevik would make a phone book sound amazing. Maybe Arjen Lucassen should get on that...
She already sang out of a phone book.
The phone book was amazing, talk about being put on the spot, it might have been scripted, but from the behaviour of the staff, I doubt it!
you're the most relentlessly positive person i've ever encountered i think. what a feel-good channel!
I was just thinking the same thing. Her energy is sooo positive and full of love. Where can we hear HER sing? I’m very curious.
I love how much she clearly loves Floor's voice almost like a cute school girl crush. She enjoyed every minute.
"This is a good match for Floor to sing". Let's be honest here - there's no song this woman can't sing. I absolutely love her ♥
Singers sing what they can. Floor sings whatever she wants to.
Agree on that one.
It's so funny that everyone (reactors and single listeners) as soon as Floor whispers "and it seems that I'm the queen" immediately cheer.... FLOOOOOR❤❤❤❤
Floor has the rare ability to tame the songs she sings and makes them hers. That's incredible.
Love that you acknowledged her facial expressions. Floor's version of Elsa clearly has more attitude. lol
That's the thing with the idea of Floor as Elsa. I can't see Floor trying to hide away and be afraid to show her abilities. She'd just walk out and say, "I make ice. Deal with it."
After binging watching your videos, I would never hear music the same again. I begin noticing the subtleties and little details when people sing now, and I greatly appreciated for all the knowledge that you shared with us.
Thanks Eric. That's been my focus here on CZcams, and my teaching career in general. I'm glad I can illuminate that for you!
I like how you mentioned her posture that keeps her airways open, but I think the real magic is that she's also using those postures to express emotion in the song at the same time. Like when she moved her arm for "slam the door" it does help with singing posture, but the motion is also very evocative of slamming a door.
"Good evening Wembley !"
The Alone cover in her home studio is my favorite. Her live version from the Cruise was ok and the studio rendition was superb but this latest is her sitting in a rocking chair and singing to us! Doesn't get much better than that! For Christmas season maybe she will think about reacting to Raskasta Joulua (Heavy Christmas) 2019 - Floor Jansen - Jouluyö (O Holy Night).
She also sang that in 2016... whilst pregnant.

I think that Elizabeth would *love love love* either of the two links to the magnificent soaring Raskasta Joulua renditions of "Oi Jouluyö"! They bring so much joy!
I agree! It's a beautiful thing to watch Floor sing with baby on board! She is just glowing!
@@danmartin8299 That was the most impressive performance I've ever seen or heard. To sound THAT good, knowing the baby has to be interfering with breathing (but not perceptible) is so so incredible. Floor has such powerful lungs, diaphragm, and core musculature. Valkyrie indeed! 🤘🔥🤘
She sings it with conviction and emotion. Bravo Floor.
there's a video of a very pregnant Floor performing "Oh Holy Night" in Finnish at an annual Finnish metal Christmas concert. i'm sure someone has linked it.
It is my favorite version of one of my my favorite Christmas songs
How did I miss that!

Floor is my second favourite Disney princess, close behind Devin Townsend when he sings "Why".
Devin Townsend's considered a Disney Princess?
I bet Floors daughter would be going to school being like "look my mum sings my favourite song!" hehe
Imagine the other kids: "my mom can sing let it go" floors daughter:"hold my juice box"
In fact, Floor have tells us, when she sing, Freya ask to her not singing. "Sh Sh mom! Stop singing!" 🤣🤣

This to me is pure magic - imagine one day a little girl asks - mum can you sing for me " let it go " it's my favourite - and here you are watching that little girls mother sing let it go for her little princess. This will forever warm my heart .
React to "Raskasta Joulua". A christmast concert with several artist like Floor, Marco, Elize and more

It looks like Floor is going to do a cover every Saturday for some time to come as she asked for suggestions on her Facebook page and CZcams . I love it when you react to Floor singing , you bring us so much information about what we are hearing . Thank you .
... ...and, may we hope, an album of those Saturday covers once the damn quaratine is done? If they all come out as good as the first 2, they wouldn't even need much touch-up to publish. :)

Falegnamen, brother!
Love you Elizabeth, thanks for keeping us entertained!
There are so far 3 people that are mad that they have to wait for this reaction and have disliked it
I agree that you absolutely have to do her Alone cover in the upcoming days. I have been a Heart fan for almost 40 years now, and where as I still like the Heart version slightly more, Floor more than does it justice.
If Floor made a record singing the names from the phone book, I'd have that record on CD, vinyl, and downloaded on Spotify
She actually did an excerpt from a phone book!
Yes, it was amazing 🤩
Just revisiting this ... I wonder whether there is or whether there will ever be a tea time with Floor that would be absolutely magical!
Ah, thank you for this reaction. She's not the fluffy and peachy Disney princess, Floor is more like come hither and I'll kick your ass with my song. She is so expressive with her singing. My friend was the finnish Pocahontas, she was told to make the songs much girlier and innocent, she was on her thirties then.
Please react Floors Alone from Heart, raskasta joulua concert, her songs, and duet with Marco. Thanks again 😍.
I was hoping that you would do this one. I love it and I thought Floor effortlessly nailed it!
Great analysis as always, did you notice how she emotes the line "The perfect girl is gone"? She brings a whole backstory of emotion into it. Fabulous
Amazing is Floor Jansen! Her Voice is incredible and she are very Beautiful
I am so glad that you are willing to comment Floor on this song. You are one of my favourite persons, because you know much about achievements of the artists and you are not at all jealous. Thank you very very much.
Love this version! The way she gives Elsa more confidence and attitude. The way she sings 'The cold never bothered me anyway' is perfect in both delivery and meaning of that line for the character, a little arrogant and smug but in a beautiful way.
I would love to "see" her as a real Disney princess were she could sing her way and that Disney would make a more of a metal princess.
Thanks for another great reaction and for showing me this version of the song.
I was waiting this since Floor releases the song
I love watching her sing. She’s so into the song, she becomes it. So beautiful and fantastic to watch.
You are so good at what you do Mrs. Elizabeth! I love all the parts of singing and performing that you catch and share with us. Thank you.
Awesome! Thanks, cannot wait to see this at the premiere. I'd love to see you react to a few of her other songs too... 'How's the Heart' (planet rock acoustic version), 'Nemo' (planet rock acoustic version) or her cover of 'Alone' by Heart that was released 2 days ago 😁❤️ they're all so incredibly awesome!
Best way with "How's the Heart" would be to do a double reaction to the original band version, AND the acoustic live. They bring out different characteristic details in the song.
Ave maria by Marco and Floor is a must listen. It’s a little christmasy too 🤷♂️
Wonderful job again Elizabeth. Loved your reaction and analysis. Hope your have a wonderful holiday season so far. See you again very soon. Peace.
Floor is such a great story-teller. And that comes on in everything about her performances, not just the voice. That difference really shows.
She's not only a great singer, but a realy good story teller!!!
Always fun with a new Floor reaction. But the Empty Hope from Wembley is long overdue :)
True !!!
As usual your breakdown was a teaching experience, thank you. Floor has control of her voice in such a way it is fasinating to listen to her sing anything. Your reaction helps me understand.
Wow, thank you!
Your idea that Floor treats this character from the perspective of maturity and experience feels so right. I felt it too on the first listen and now you expressed it very clearly. Thanks!
You are an excellent speaker, besides being a top-class pro and a very positive person. Your videos are very enjoyable and informative.
Christmas with Floor. " Oh Holy Night" in Finnish. Very pretty. The song ain't bad either. haha.
czcams.com/video/6asFfKqE2vg/video.html
More Christmas songs
More Floor
Floor and Marco singing ave maria is to die for
And the loving look that Marko gives Floor at the end with that awkward thumbs up is just so damn precious...
I love how she projects her voice so well. There are times when the microphone is more than a foot away. Shows how much power she has, and still has phenomenal control.
Elizabeth, I love watching your reaction videos. If I'm honest, half of the time I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about but your enthusiasm, expressions and knowledge always leaves me feeling just as excited about what I am hearing as you are (plus I love Floor and enjoy hearing that you do too!) Thank you, I am so glad I found your channel!
Tim Minchin's "White Wine in the Sun" is my favourite Christmas song and I think you'd really enjoy it.
Floor and Marco do a beautiful Ava Maria.
She is also done a number of other Christmas carols
I love Floor's sass in this song. Watching her confidence and little smirks is a joy. :)
Floor her voice is magic but real.❤️🤘 Ty for that quote ❤️🤘
Love your videos. You should consider nightwish's acoustic version of How's the Heart as your next nightwish/Floor song :)
I'm looking forward to this :). I also hope that you react to Floor's cover of Heart's 1987 hit "Alone" (which itself was a cover of a song by i-Ten) that was released yesterday ( czcams.com/video/1fu-yP6q6Gk/video.html ). Maybe you could also compare that to some of Floor's older renditions of "Alone" such as the 2007 studio rendition when she was with the band After Forever ( czcams.com/video/r7uaHxyC1rY/video.html ) or a more metal live performance such as czcams.com/video/6bwZ2zWVZd4/video.html.
Yes, acoustic version of How's the heart is very good and you'd get a lot out of that one.
Agreed.
Definitely
Do both back to back. Just amazing.
If you do "While Your Lips Are Still Red" by Nightwish from the Wembley concert, you get Marko, Floor and a snow scene on the video wall. Oh, and a beautiful, beautiful song. What more could you want?
I just love how you are so excited and seeing it so clearly expressed by your face how much you enjoy this :)
Another ridiculously informative and entertaining reaction to my favorite singer on the planet. Your technical breakdowns are just the best. The thing that gets me paying attention to your channel more than the others is the absolute enthusiasm you show when listening to something. That cannot be faked. Keep up the good work!
Yeay! Also Elizabeth, I'm expecting Vox Myron the Tiefling Bard would make a cameo with her Irish accent. Can't wait til you get to my fav singer, Eivør. She just did an acoustic livestream show on her channel and it was magical ❤
I'll have to work her into one of these videos soon, Juliette. ;-)
Remember that "storyteller" is another of her fantástics gifts.
Ah I always love your commentary! Thank you for this one!
Omg, never seen the film, but I'm blown away,
You should. Spoiler alert. . . it's icy!
"I feel that "Let it Go" was always ment to have some metal in it". I just fell in love with you for that comment. You know, most great songs, are meant to have some metal in them imo \m/ \m/
Have you seen the metal covers of disneys hunchback? They make an excellent argument for why that entire soundtrack should have been metal
@@lasrber I have not but I am going to for sure!!! Cheers
For Christmas you have Floor and Marco singing Ava Maria or Floor singing O holy night in Finnish .
Another great song is silent night Sinéad O’Connor lovely tone she has
very thorough analysis and great reaction. Happy Holidays.
The cold shouldn't bother you either the excitement that rises from your beautiful smile to your gorgeous eyes as you listen deeply to each and every note is enough to warm up every room in the house you are the only one I've ever seen that enjoys the music to its foundations I'm never disappointed when I watch your videos looking forward to seeing the next one
Floor starts singing and Elizabeth instantly fangirling :D
But who could be against - it's Floor singing right?
Just a bit.
She is also posting master classes on her CZcams channel, great stuff
Floor's right eyebrow should have its own channel....
All the eyebrow love.
I was waiting for this reaction, even suggested it. Thanks! Love your reaction.
If you're after all manner of Christmas songs, you have GOT to check out Floor and Marco singing Ave Maria from raskasta joulua. It's beautiful!
Normally your videos seem to be twice the length of the song - so equal parts analysis and music. But for this, it was several times the length of the song! Floor's cover always gives me chills.
(I have done no statistical work here, this is entirely my opinion/guesswork)
Its awesome to see how much fun you have with these reaction videos. Love it ❤
fantastic cover of a stunning song. Incredible
In an interview Floor had said her 3 year old daughter has been singing this continuously around the house. So I prompted her to do this cover.
watch out for Baby Shark!
That was great for something seasonal try floor and Marco singing ave maria its gorgeous.
In the art of metal and goth singing, you must open your mouth, not just for sound but expressly for artistic emphasis!
Loooove this! 🤩🤩 I don't really know what else to say. It just brings me joy watching you react to Floor.
Floor’s expression shows she knows she could walk all over this song, and looks like she’s just messing around with her friends
Hi Elizabeth, for X-mas - Floor Jansen - Oi Jouluyö (O Holy Night) sung in Finland while she was pregnant would be a great choice.
I agree!
I loved watching you geek out over this. 😁
Love how much personality Floor puts into every performance.
I love this version! I definitely prefer this over Idina’s version. When floor hits that high note at the end, it doesn’t take the top of your head off like Idina’s voice does. 😅
So agree to this. One thing annoying me from this song's original version is the high notes. It sounds forced and boring.
But Floor sounds like she doesn't put much effort. There are more colors to Floor's version than the original.
FAR better than Menzel's hebraic screeching
A recommendation for Christmas, Ave Maria sung by Floor and Marco.
Literally stayed up all night last night watching her Dimash reactions. Why haven’t I seen this channel sooner!!!
One thing I really love about Floor and which, in my opinion, makes her as special as she is: She doesn't just sing a song. She lives every song she sings. It's almost like she gets into a character, as if she is playing the song like a theater piece. It gets really obvious in three Nightwish epics, but also Ayreon (even more so, because she is in fact playing a role there). And that really gets the emotion across. I just love it.
Evergrey - In Orbit with Floor.
If you want Xmas....Nightwish covered walking in the air from the snowman movie. Its with Tarja and they all look soooo young
This woman ( Floor Jansen) give me chills .... always !
Seeing you crush the hell out on Floor always makes my day😄❤️
Oh goody, I'm so there with you 😍.
You are the best vocal coach reactor. So knowledgeable but also authentic. Your love for music is infectious.
Thanks Gina!
WOW.. she's amazing .. like your analysis as usual ..
Your reactions are the best so happy you did this one. Also, love that sweater! Have a wonderful day :)
Alone is next :)
Following a winter theme I definitely recommend, "Blind and Frozen" by Beast in Black!
As always, Elizabeth, a great analysis of Floor's techniques.
Thinking about Floor's recovery from burnout then getting the call from Nightwish in 2012, I wonder if some of the interpretation of the lyrics of this is semi-autobiographical. She expected to have to thaw out audiences who had booked to hear Anette but then got her instead. But she plucked up her courage and stepped through that door! She admitted to being terrified to do so, but as time has shown, it was the best decision she could possibly have taken.
She certainly projects immense feeling into the song, and as always, she is the consummate storytelling singer - her vocal flexibility allows her to inject emotion in ways that almost every other singer would struggle with.
I figure that the microphone started out as the standard stainless steel mesh until Floor's voice gilded it.
