I thought to myself, if I want to create the complete King costume look, I need to make this cool sword. This is a journey full of struggle, as I don't have a woodworking shop, or woodworking experience for that matter, but it is a process worth enduring in the name of cosplaying!

About the British Royal Navy Sword:
This iconic sword was first introduced to the Royal Navy in 1827 and has been in service throughout many conflicts, including the two World Wars, right up until today. It was adopted by all of the Commonwealth Navies in the British Empire and is still carried today as a dress sword.
The brass hilt features a golden lion-head pommel. The blade is made of high carbon steel and is tempered and decorated with etchings. The wooden scabbard is covered with black leather and features decorated brass fittings and 2 suspension rings so it can hang from the Sword Belt, a part of the uniform.

I've missed seeing your videos and your sense of humor!
As always AMAZING! Your personality, your humor, and your ingenuity are remarkable -- which is why I enjoy your videos. Can't wait for the next part! 💖
Thank you Ambur! And likewise for you too!
Really looking forward to the whole series! Also, I love to hear you chatting, it makes the video even more interesting.
Thank u, I'm so glad to hear that!
Your jokes and humour are so funny. ❤️❤️ can't wait for the next part. So good to see you back
Thanks Dean! I'm glad to be back!
CZcams once again did me right and found me another great CZcamsr. I’d love to hear more about you and your life. Im disabled so I don’t get out much and it’s nice to to live vicariously through people like you. Plus you have a great sense of humor and I love watching you craft. Keep making videos ❤ they’re great!
Thank you so much! You're so welcome to my channel.
I originally watched your vids for the craft, but I subscribed for the Austin Do! There are many talented folk but only one wry, chill you :-) I'm English and would love to hear more about why the British Royal Family resonates with you. Also, when I need some low-profile embellishments for my miniatures / dioramas (particularly for curved items), card-crafting peel-off stickers do the job of adding filigree or line work without much effort. You can metal leaf over them for a subtly raised detail, it could give an approximation of the naval blade's etching. Looking forward to the next vid, thanks for all you do and well done for living your NZ dream :-)
Joanne this is such a sweet comment, thank you so much! And thank you for the awesome idea!
I am so glad to have you back. I personally love hearing you speak. You could be reading the phonebook and making jokes about the names, and I would be here for every second.
That's very sweet Emily, thank you!
So glad I found your channel, currently binge watching all your vids now :3 Also I much prefer when creators talk during the dead space instead of music. Maybe you could talk about your time in New Zealand, or your education or where this hobby started from - ect. You could talk about geometry and I'd be okay.
Thank you so much for mentioning the 1/2 way blues!! Get them every time!!
I know right?!
your works are incredible, I hope I can see more of them soon, kisses from Brazil
Welcome back! Hot glue is a staple of diy projects, don't question it!
True dat!
Pretty sure that we love your chat and your personality, just as much as your creations❤
Gilding foils are great.
I was listening to the video while working... and had to do a double take when I heard you mention my original comment.😂
I always enjoy your videos and watch them multiple times. And glad to see your recent projects.
The sword turned out really great
Thanks Hull! That's funny, I was hoping you would notice that 😆. This project is possible thanks to your original comment.
Well, you deffo are not a carpenter, but you get 10 for perseverance. I would have given up and spent the time and money on a ton of kit I did not really need!
It was quite a struggle! I could use some kits and tools.
Nah, it was good! Chat away, you have a lovely accent and a quirky take on the world that is great to hear. Glad you're back making videos 😊
