The ‘piano guy’ composed this masterpiece at Dimash’s request. Igor is a famous Russian composer/music mogul, worth 13 billion USD. That’s how famous he is in Russia! He came out of retirement to compose some songs for Dimash when he first heard him sing in 2018. He also composed Stranger for Dimash and many other incredible masterpieces. Igor also created this annual music festival competition called New Wave for young performers, which is why he’s often the screen! Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

Dear AL: The piano player is the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy who also happens to have composed this particular piece specifically for Dimash. In fact, Mr. Krutoy was retired from the music business when he attended one of Dimash's concerts. At which time he chose to come out of retirement and has composed numerous songs for Dimash. Not only have they formed a wonderful musical team but have also forged a bond of friendship that is evident in all of their joint projects.

Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash.
When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count.
“On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy. It is not without reason that his friend and teacher, the maestro Igor Krutoj, predicts: “Believe me, in the future the world will be at Dimash’s feet.” (www)

To hit a perfect high onset after such a long, dramatic, intense musical introduction and then several seconds of silence broken only by the slow heartbeat, is the sign of vocal greatness.
I never fail to get chills from this performance. The exquisite last note is like a divine arrow piercing my heart. Almost painfully beautiful. Tonight at the end I found myself clenching my fist so hard that afterwards I had indentations on my palm from my fingernails.

Who is Dimash? I, and a few others, call him the singer of the millennia because the range of musical genres, and his vocal range, 7.7 octaves, are like no other. From Kazakhstan, beginning his singing career at age 5 (he's 29 now, 2023), Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. The world became aware of him in 2017 (when he was 22), during and after a Chinese singing contest called "Singer". His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! Its a prayer without words. The sounds in the beginning are spiritual from a range of cultures. He is serious as he is getting into the meditative frame of mind. Igor Krutoy [pianist] is the composer - really famous. Its heavenly and makes great meditative music.
This is a prayer for the world, and sometimes language is a barrier, hence no words. A classical pianist said this version of Ave Maria is derived from an older version (he named the composer, but I don't remember) and not the Franz Schubert version which is popular today.
The high note in the song was an F6, and the last note was C6. The interesting thing about the way he sang that C6 was that it very closely resembles a vocal exercise his vocal coach has him practice.

Igor used to write the songs for Lara (Mademoiselle Hyde, Adagio. These songs were composed by Igor. He then went into retirement. The traditional Ave Maria /ˈa.ve maˈri.a/ means "All Hail Mary" and it is a prayer to Maria the mother of Jesus for the Catholic Church. It is not ONE song: many composers used that prayer as lyrics for their compositions
Most people thought this would be the traditional prayer but this is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied to play the piano.
His singing this being a muslim in a country where there are almost no Christians would be completely misunderstood. Dimash did a new one composed by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream. It has not lyrics, it is magic using only one vowel and impressing on it the feeling of that prayer.

There are many Ave Maria's written over the centuries, including the one most people recognize that was written by Schubert. This one was written especially for Dimash by Igor Krutoy.
Dimash is a devout Muslim, the composer Igor Krutoy is Jewish, and the song is traditionally Christian. So even while Mary is revered as the embodiment of perfect obedience in Islam, the traditional words of the song would be problematic for Dimash to sing, so this one is a vocalize (no words).

That last note apparently is a very, very difficult technique. There is footage of Dimash being taught how to do it. Holding his neck, in front of a mirror for ages, to get it.
