Disney has made it clear that I am not welcome, and they have no desire to produce products that appeal to me. I wish George had never sold Star Wars to them. @nopejhonson958 Darth Vader didn't see himself as the good guy. He knew he was evil and considered himself irredeemable. Even the act of saving his son was out of love, not out of a desire to rejoin the Jedi or the light side. It was a last minute, desperate attempt to save his son, nothing more. Anakin probably wanted to die, seeing as he wouldn't be forgiven, was tossed aside by Palpatine in favor of his son, knew he would die if he betrayed his master, his suit was irreparable once he tossed Palpatine to his doom, and he'd Bern living off of the dark side and his hatred, which he finally let go of.
Filoni has always been bad with understanding character motivation but this is next level bad. Maybe this wasn't completely on him but he has green lighted the script. Time to stop giving Filoni a pass and thinking he's the savior of SW.

I think the real lesson is that when a company insults you on the basis of race and gender, leave. The very first time they do it. I woiuld have been happier, and think many people would.

I saw that episode. The alien then gives the pronoun "the," revealing that it is a megalomaniac and the actual villain of the episode, leading the Doctor to notice and cover. So, it was actually plot-relevant.

Actually this episode does retcon the prequels. They have Ki Adi Mundi as a Jedi Master ... 40 years before he was even born. I have the pre-disney official reference material.
So they're retconning his age, position, and even the lifespans of the cereans (originally slightly shorter than the average human's), just so they can make the Jedi look like even bigger idiots for thinking the Sith were extinct in the Phantom Menace.
It's even worse than that, they're making him a traitor to the jedi order covering up a Sith incident

His children were always the soft spot for him and after years of trying to get Luke on his side to overthrow the emperor, he realized Luke was more important to him than anything else. In the old table top game, force users who fell to the dark side had to make a roll everytime they tried to channel the dark side. If they failed the role, the dark side wavered for an instant and they could regret their actions for just an instant. Besides, he was still acting as a sith, it's just he always wanted Luke on his side, not the emperor.

Rewatching the prequels I realized Disney/Lucasfilm forget that Star Wars is first and foremost a space opera. Watching revenge of the sith I miss the grandness of the Star Wars universe. I miss that classic vocal opera type music and even though the dialogue wasn’t always the best it felt like a Shakespearean tragedy.
The original Star Wars made a person feel part of something big, grand, and noble. Disney's Star Wars is a small universe filled with small nasty people. It leaves you with an icky feeling.

Man, I thought the idea that Anakin was imaculately concieved or 'force' concieved was cringe worthy back in 1999 - and that is when Star Wars started to die for me. I had forgotten all about it, but the idea that was centralto the first 6 films is crazy - how was it central to original 3 when we didn't know about it until 1999. Also, I said way back in like 2006 that the prequels were so bad that they weren't even cannon - you can only imagine what I think now. I was sort of a super fan, and now I'm not really a fan at all, I just watch these youtube videos to mourn the death of something I once loved. I have 2 young boys, and I don't lead them to Star Wars at all.
I was basically out of the country when attack of the clones came out, but when phantom menace came out, everyone was super excited for the possibilities. I came back and everyone hated the star wars prequels. I saw Revenge of the Sith, and thought it was great. So with all that said, I had to cherry pick content for my kids from the prequel, so that they could still appreciate the OG trilogy and the overall story for what it is.
But I absolutely agree, until you mentioned it I had totally forgot that I had the same instant reaction when I heard of it.
Currently watching reviews for the train wreck at this point as well.

Edit: Also believe the whole "thread" stuff will likely lead to a plot point of tug'o'war and that's the reason they are hunting Jedi, so they can have more pull on the "thread".

The Polygon article was annoyed about the pronoun thing, but for opposite reasons. To them it was just superficial lip-service, ticking boxes in the worst way. They aren't against pronouns, just how they were done in the show. In fact they were more angry at how this will just give us "bigots" more ammunition.

Want to throw this out there...I checked IMDB's website last night for the overall cast for this episode and I believe they spoiled who the "Sith" master is....they showed one actor who was not in this episode at all, but also didn't post their characters name....and I checked again this morning and that actor has now been removed from the list.
So if you don't want to know I'd consider stop reading now but if you're reading on this channel you probably don't care as I don't either.
The sith master is going to be Osha and Mae's mother, the head which from episode 3. It showed her being in the episode last night on the IMDB page for this episode and now it's gone so if you check now you won't see that actress on the list anymore. But yeah...calling it now....we're going to find out she didn't die....somehow.....and also somehow saved Mae....and decided to train her while also keeping her identity a secret for some reason....
She needs to train others in the "thread" so she can steal it and make a quilt. Sorry that was sarcasm, it is likely she had the power of one, she made the sisters to take the power of two, the witch coven was sacrificed to both steal the power of many and to steel her daughter's resolve to fight the Jedi.

Another "Empire Turned Rebel" story. They did this in Battlefront 2 as well, we were all promise this grand story of a surviving Storm Trooper Commander, who was suppose to be fighitng Rebel Scum. It was gonna be awesome... but NO! Instead, not even 5 missions in, she's like "Oh, The Empire is bad! I GOtTa gET ouTTa HEre.", & goes rouge. Wasted opportuninty. From what I can tell, this show is going down the same road. Shame on you, Disney, shame on you EA, and shame on you Lucasfilm. To quote Angry Joe, "The final verdict is a ZERO out of ten. A ZERO! To be honest, I find ridiculous actually as this episode was twice as worse as the third episode. One of those worsening issues in this episode was a Jedi master character from the Prequels was in this and that a nasty point and launcher to are faces.

You can't trust clues if the director doesn't pay attention to detail nor script breaking logic, because let's face it. someone new getting there within 10 minutes of the guy being trapped is exactly the kind of poor writing that this script oozes.
Which by the way is what makes it feel so bad. If you can't trust things to make logical sense, like seeing that there are kids playing in the street when the twins enter and then minutes later hear them say that they are the only children there then it just makes you subconsciously dislike it because the script is is lying to you. You know that there are more kids there, you saw them. I dare say that the lady handing out free spice cream for a living wouldn't do so if there weren't kids there. It does not make logical sense.
The only way to make any reasonable predictions is to think like a radical feminist. Women are good and powerful, men are oppressing them. Ergo, the good guys will be women. Men will die. Power is everything so therefore we will make the most powerful people women. I would not be surprised if this is the start of Mae going good. Don't be surprised if the bad guy in the cliffhanger ends up being beaten by the twins mother. That could actually happen with this level of writing.
How can you judge something by it's result? We need to know the sexual details of the writer to be able to judge, don't we?
Letting someone that didn’t pass high school English tell you where to put pronouns, ever, is ridiculous. English sentence structure is kinda set in stone.

Likely where they got it from, and it's either a direct reference, or some subconscious reference they were too lazy to google where they got it from.
The film is a Disney property, so it wouldn't be too surprising if they did use the character as the influence here.
Basil, the mouse detective, was based on the actor Basil Rathbone, who played Sherlock Holmes on film from the 30s and 40s, in radio plays, and for a short stint in the theater as well. I really enjoy those movies, and they can be easily found here on CZcams. The pairing of Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson is excellent.

It would be to stupidly obvious that it would be one of the 2 mother Witches, stupid if it was the Ezra Miller look alike character as we have no backstory or motivation for his character to kill the 4 Jedi. The only other character it could be is the Green Jedi Boss with some yet unknown motivation put in as a twist ending.
