- Trivikram Srinivas is one of the most influential writer and directors in contemporary Telugu Cinema. A gold medalist in Nuclear Physics, he began his journey as a writer before turning director with Nuvve Nuvve in 2002. As a writer, he has played a key role in the success of films like Chirunavvutho, Nuvve Kavali, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, and Malleswari. After turning director, he went on to direct several popular films including Athadu, Jalsa, Julayi, Khaleja, Attharintiki Daredhi, A...Aa, AravindhaSametha.
His recent film, Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava has become one of the highest grossing films in Telugu cinema, and it is already the biggest hit in NTRJr and Trivikram Srinivas' career. The film was partly inspired from Mahabharatam, and NTR earned rave reviews for his emotional performance.
In an exclusive interview to Film Companion, Trivikram Srinivas opens up like never before about the influence that Telugu literature has had on him, why he likes writing poetry through dialogues, and why you can never be too sure about a film's success. And more importantly, the prolific writer also explains his obsession with Ramayana, Mahabharatam, and Vedas.

Doesn't matter what language anchor is using, but the depth in his questions, understanding the answers and depth of knowledge on the person he is interviewing is amazing. Also trivikram answers to the questions by understanding them and giving exact answers are awesome.

This is so frustrating.
Visiting the scene back and forth, compositing it finest to the core and all preparations are done exactly how it was supposed to be. But, later we've to compromise. It sucks to be in that position to witness the destruction in front of us.
It's so stressful to the individual.

త్రివిక్రమ్ గారు వంటి ముఖ్యమైన వ్యక్తులు చక్కని తెలుగు మాట్లాడుతున్నప్పుడు ముఖాముఖీ నిర్వహించే వారు కూడా అదే స్థాయిలో ఉంటే బాగుంటుంది. ఇక్కడ ఈ వ్యక్తి తెలుగు మాట్లాడలేక మాట్లాడక పోవడం కాకుండా ఇంగ్లీష్ లో మాట్లాడటమే అదో గొప్ప అనే ధోరణి కనబడుతోంది. ఈ విషయాన్ని దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుంటే బావుంటుంది.

Trivikram Sir, I am a big fan of you.. you have a vast knowledge about various aspects of life, world , mythology and what not.. you should definitely do more movies, web series in platforms like Netflix, Amazon etc.. Also, you should do podcasts.. These platforms are boundless & they can accommodate your vast knowledge& pearls of wisdom.. At the least , you should give general interviews more often.. Its a great pleasure to hear your words , sir

Asking for subtitles of Trivikram's Telugu speech is like asking Gulzar's poetry to be translated into English. You may get a sense of what he's trying to say. But, you'll not appreciate it the way someone who knows the language does. I assumed here that your mother tongue is Marathi/Hindi and you're aware of Gulzar. If not, please replace Gulzar with the best lyricist/poet from your mother tongue (Kannada or whatever)

For me, this is a captivating interview where the listener also gets knowledge out of the thoughts and the experiences of a learned person like sri Trivikram. The interviewer also has done a very good job. Definitely he has not adopted the beaten track. I felt that this interview is on par with any of his movies.

At 30:40, the anchor completely gets it wrong about Trojan Horse movies. These trojan horse movies are specific genre films that on the surface seem something but are intended to be something else. Like Jamba Lakidi Lamba, a "comedy" movie about gender reversal, but is actually a commentary about gender roles and societal perceptions. Don't use words just coz they sound cool without knowing what they mean.
It is evident the anchor was attempting to showcase his knowledge ---In other words he's trying to brag in the presence of Trivikram
Agreed. Can we look at it from other side? Have you seen any interview where Trivikram spoke better than this? His understanding about Trojan Horse may not be correct but it got a very response from Trivikram.
