  • An absolutley stunning military museum. I really wasn't expecting this. I knew from internet searches that the National Museum of Ireland had some interesting military items at their 'Decorative Arts and History Museum' in the old Collins Barracks in Dublin. The title didn't sound very military but I went anyway, not expecting a lot. What I found is a world class military museum.
    100% recommended and it's free entry!

    I am irish hardly know it myself must go up one of the days.I have heard commenters on videos recommend it.

    i think the swedish tank was there because they served alongside the irish in the congo.Ireland was neutral during the spanish civil war but there was a good bit of involvement of irish volunteers on both sides.,but as ireland was very catholic at the time most were on the nationalist side,but many were with the international brigade on the republican side..

      The Irish Defence Forces bought several Swedish tanks and armoured cars in the late 1930's in an attempt to build up an elementary armoured force. These vehicles have nothing to do with Irish or Swedish service in ONUC/UNOC
