    This is one of the absolute best Honda tutorials i have ever seen. Video photography is superb- full brightness and clarity; sound is clear and crisp- no annoying sound track covering up the clear and precise instructions. Only suggestion is not to use the Phillips head screwdriver which tends to expand the roll pin. You may have a pin which is easy to drive out but in my experience the bitch pin earned its name because it doesn't just tap out, and you don't want to beat on the linkage etc. Best way is to use a C clamp and 12mm bolt pressing the pin into a socket into which the pin is pressed. Other than that your video is superb. I recently rebuilt the D series 5 speed, which went well, but I also replaced the clutch twice since first one was defective. Now something went bad in that area and i think it is the pilot bearing or throwout bearing. Thanks for your beautiful tutorial!

    • @HellHoundOne
      @HellHoundOne Před 2 lety

      You can not turn into a b000. A b000 has 40mm bearings and a000 35 mm bearings. However there are transmission calculators online that you can use like zeal auto works and show what you happens when you do gear swaps. IF you really wanted to, swap final drive, this is a drop in affair. However the cost of said final drive, it is easier to just by an ex si trans b000 and with out the work.
      Whatever you do, stay with parts for same year ranges. 92-95 96-00 as they changed over the years. Gear stacks are swappable shift forks are different.

      It's a REALLY common issue in the s2000 community. The transmission is difficult to fit in the tunnel and onto the block so people use the threads to close the gap, but the dowels aren't in yet and get crushed.
