- I figured it was time to really fill people in on this great new scan tool from Launch. I've been using it for the past 8 months now, and as a 30 veteran of the industry, I can tell you it was worth every penny.
It constantly outperforms the Snap-on Zeus, as well as offering more special features than our Autel 908.

Seriously! I thought it was a good deal when I bought it to replace my aging OTC Genisys, but dang. It's a GREAT deal. I love this thing. Super fast, and very good deep level coverage.

Along with the HD III hardware/software. Great value, and needed use.
Where do u recommend buying. Alot of bad reviews on ebay and Amazon. Complaining of bad tablets. Old returned tablets being re issued to new customers.

I see air level calibration. My Apollo won’t do that at least on a E550. I’ve borrowed an Autel and it will and I’m really interested in the capabilities to do so . Think you could include that specific function in your next vid ?
Hi, like the video. Just wondering, if you do not keep paying the subscription fee for updates....WILL THE SCAN TOOL Lock OUT, OR STILL FUNCTION?
Yes it will. The only thing that stops working are the updates. All existing updates are still OK, and the tool continues to work as if it were active.
Does it require WiFi to function
Do you need the subscription to even use the device? When it ends does it just brick it?
No, it will continue to work, it just won't receive updates.

Topology yes, I am not 100% sure on the power balance
Only see 21 special function. Do you have to pay for the rest of special functions?
Updates added more features and not all features are available on all makes.

How to change the mileage with the tablet thank you
Not legal, and not offered OEM scan tools can sometimes correct mileage, but original mileage is hard coded to the ECM.
I have trouble with this type of unit.The tablet wont power on-only Qualcomm 9008 on USB.Please can somebody offer me the file system backup? QCn file?backup made with Qfil software.Thank you.

Can people just buy the tablet and download the pkg file and use it as a scanner??
Not that I am aware of. I think OTC tried that a few years back and it didn't work well. To many incompatible drivers.

As cost effective as these Chinese tools are, I would warn everyone against adding personal accounts to it. The disclaimer you sign to use it says, "...you consent to the transfer of your personal information to China, and our handling of your information in accordance with applicable China requirements.." in other words 0 privacy
The sad part is that most companies have the same rules in their terms and conditions- most people don't read the fine print
And you thought Covid was bad. They are injecting a virus into every vehicle whenever any Chinese scanner is connected. Just before they attack, they will shut all our cars off.😆
Would you say this Tool helps you diagnose a car issues fast? Does it ever miss anything or is it's findings 100% accurate. Just trying to see if the 1k price is worth it. Thank you to whoever can answer this.
LAUNCH DO NOT HONOR THERE WARRANTY!!!! when the software glitches start to happen and you contact Launch you will come to realise that you've been ripped off. BUY ONE AT YOUR PERIL
I've had mine just short of a year and have had no issues with it so far. What kind of glitches are you having? I did a lot of research before buying this unit. Never heard of problems.
I am hearing of so many problems that he is talking about. Most are very recent sales.
Paying to unlock functions=scamtastic
Umm. Pro level scan tools do that sort of thing. It turns out that endless updates and constant new coverage/features cost money to keep up with. Compared to the cost of the quarterly updates Snap-on charges these tools are a bargain!
I have plenty of professional scan tools, none of them require extra purchases to unlock functions. This particular tool is some kind of rip off.
Umm. re-flashing computers, programing keys, and so much more. No extra charge? Maybe for a GS. @@VaporGearhead
If your car is scion don't buy this scanner, it doesn't support it.

You realize that I have an entire series on this tool right? Live data, programming, bi-directional controls. Guess not.
After 12 months, you have to pay the update for all the device software, or it becomes useless. You pay about $1,200 to update the device every 12 months. Isn't this device useless at this cost?
That is not true. The only thing you loose at the end of the 24 months is updates. The tool continues to function as normal. You just wont be able to work on the newer cars that come out after the subscription expires.
@@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs thank you for clarifying this. And the paid features issue. I've been on the fence about buying one for these two reasons. Have an MP808 and love it but want wireless, bigger screen, better interface, more features. I think I'm sold on the launch now!
