I have a different problem with this lock. My key turns nicely, but only to a point until it is about to move the deadbolts. I think both deadbolts rusted solid with the lock frame. I tried turning it with as much force as I believe the key can handle. I tried kicking the door to vibrate the lock. Is it possible to drill this lock out? I can't do anything with the door, they are solid steel and the window is protected with heavy duty bars. I also thought about making a fully metal key, as it could take more force and I could also whack with a hammer it to shock the lock directly.
If you have a deep hole saw, the same diameter as the key and very long, you can cut the whole way through and then manipulate the hand turn on the inside. It wants a specialist hole saw though as most aren't deep enough. The steel at the back isn't hardened. The problem is you break the lock. Alternatively you could try and flood it with a rust penetrator. But that may not work and makes a mess. Depending on the country you're in and the local laws, and if the land is yours, there is another way. Think about the volume of the inside space. Nice, wide entry hole, easy to cap, confined place to build up pressure. 25 grains propells a 1 ounce slug. You could probably fit 125 grains in there. Clay cap and electric fuse (see model rocket community videos.) I am U.K. based, so not something I can test, but based on the channels I watch, it should work. See opening locks with gunpowder for evidence.
OK I´ve understood why now, but I must admit this have lead me to another question. Couldn´t he have determined all that when he used that first tool to turn the rings and looked inside the lock with the flashlight? All that work with the 4 ring-picks if I may call them that, was that necessary? Or was it to become absolutely sure where all the X-positions were located? I´m sorry for asking all these questions but I´m trying to understand the mechanism´s and workings of maybe the most complicated lock there is.
Allright, especially because the 4-pins and the X-pins are the same color right? And it isn´t possible either to see the form of the pin. A mini-camera would probably have it´s trouble in entering the inside of the lock. Thankyou for your patience and your answers.

@@Prodecoders Only with some practice. I have never see a gerda in person. Most of the stuff I work on is like EVVA, Mul-T-Lock, automotive. I made my own tools for this. I also made tool to electronic hack car alarm to gain access.

@@renehenriksen1735 you can't determine all 4 types with visual observation only, so in any way you can't skip the 4 ring keys
